I think you're absolutely right. If he has Downs (bless him) then they do react like little children to many things.

That's pretty sad. He got what was coming if he didn't have any disease. That was an awesome punch.

I won't pass judgment either way without audio and more facts. That being said the father's reaction was probably a little excessive.

The guy who kicked the kid has down syndrome, but seriously if I'm the dad and see someone kick my kid he's going down.

Legally speaking, the threat was over and the force was likely excessive.

That was just crazy. I would probably had punched the guy also. It's not like he was aware he had a disorder...and he just kicked my kid.

Personally speaking I wouldn't care what the laws say.

I like the theory about the guy probably having some mental/physical handicap. It wouldn't make what he did right but it'd explain the reaction.
I like that theory too, but wouldn't that be the reason he would overreact? Because he has a disability?

That had to be fake. I mean come on who kicks a kid for being loud! If it was real he got what he deserve. If he kick my kid I would have done the same thing. Oh I see he has a disorder, still that is just wrong to go kick a kid, even if you have a disorder.

As long as he's smaller than you and has Down's syndrome.

You can't say that with any certainty. The guy was still close enough to inflict more bodily harm on the child.

Excessive would've been the dad jumping on top of the guy when he was down and continue to beat him.

you probably don't have kids. Someone kicks my son I would do the same.
