    How do YOU tie your shoes?

    Just wondering, seeing that I'm always finding myself tying my shoes. They don't ever seem to stay tied. I know I can double-knot, but I don't really want to.

    So, taking the following options into account, what were you taught, and what do you do? I swear, the first time my friend told me there was a different way of tying shoes, I went off the rocker. The bunny ears thing is just too weird, and I just don't know if I could ever get myself to do it. But some people do, and some people just tuck their laces into their shoes or wear Velcros, and then others only wear sandals.

    So how about it? I simply loop it, swoop it, and pull.

    My everyday shoes I wear for work are a pain in the @ss, the laces undo EVERY few minutes. It must be the material the laces are made with. Just bought a new pair yesterday and chucked the old ones in the bin.

    My wife pretty much wears every colour of those crocs ever made. You couldn't pay me to wear those hideous things.

      I wear slip-ons. Or when I wear my Nike's, I can slide my feet in them without having to untie them.

            I haven't tied my shoes in almost a year, I have a little knot in them and since they are a little too big(they're size 14's but size 13 1/2 is too small) so I just slip them on and off everyday.

              When I tie my shoes (usually they're already tied, and I just slip them on), I do the old loop, swoop, and pull style.

                  Loop, swoop, and pull, although I hardly ever untie them. I just slip them on.

                        I rarely tie my shoes since I just slip them on and never untie them. I really have no idea how I tie them ... I just do it without thinking. I like my cerebellum so I don't have to think about it; I just do it!

                          I never heard the double loop thing refered to as "bunny ears", but that's how my Mom taught me...

                          It was a rule that you had to show up on the first day of kindergarten knowing how to tie your shoes, and possibly b/c I'm a lefty the conventional way threw me off...so double loop it was and always has been...

                          I wear Puma Clydes most of the year, and they are tied impeccably...

                            I usually leave my shoes tied... But I make a loop, and then swoop it around. I learned doing the bunny ears first, though. I thought it was like this:

                            Bunny Ears = children
                            Loop & Swoop = adults.

                            I wasn't aware any adults still did bunny ears.

                              I thought it was more like:

                              Untied = children
                              tied = adults

                              Anyway, I've noticed that a fair amount of my fellow 'adults' also rock the double loop method...

                              It would be interesting to know if there are any studies or stats on this...hmmm
