Seasonal Beers :p

Has anyone tried Sam Adams Octoberfest AKA "candy corn" If you dig a toasted malty beer w/ some spices & hints of caramel, w/ a nice hops balance...then this beers for you. it pours a dark amber w/ a tan head, w/ malts & caramels dancing around your palate one of my favs...fo sho.

I'm hearin' the Paulaner Oktoberfest is where its at...when it comes to fall beers.
has anyone tried this yet? also Sam Adams Winter Ale is tasty as well.

Enlightin' me w/ some of your favorite seasonal brews.

sams octoberfest is probably the only seasonal beer I like.

Sam Adams has great seasonal brews coming out now, notably Old Fezziwig Ale, Christmas Ale, and the porter.

I usually dont like seasonal beers because they're too heavy...I start to feel bloated if I drink a bunch of em.

I enjoy Sam Summer and Octoberfest, and then the Blue Moon's Harvest Moon (their Summer Ale) but other than that...not so much.

I generally only like Summer/Spring seasonals... the fall ones always have some weird nutmeg or other pumpkin spice taste that I never really even liked in food, much less beer. I'll try out a few more this year, but I've never been one for the Autumn/Winter brews. I love non-flavored dark beers though -- that's what I transition into around this time of year.

The S A's O-fest has NO pumpkin/nutmeg taste at all imo. it's more malty,caramel,toffee...balanced w/ a little hops...really good balance...give it a shot. only downfall? it's got about 165 cals per bottle

Ha... you have more beer drinking variety than I do and you're not even legal.

Fezziwig rocks though I can't find it by itself, only in the seasonal 12 packs where you only get 2, this drivers me crazy cause I'd love a 6 or 12 pack of just the Fezziwig. The Oktoberfest Sam is very tasty, the Winter Ale is great too. Sierra Nevada's Celebration Ale is a very good seasonal beer as well.
