Sadly, I don't have the money to keep the variety going, so unless my dad swings by and buys some Blue Moon, or Sams, or some Magic Hat (#9 or Circus Boy, ftw)...I'm sticking with splitting 30s of Busch Light/Miller Light/Bud Light, etc with a friend.

Down here in Alabama we don't have much of a choice. We still have laws that beers can't contain more than like 5% alcohol.

              Should've clarified....even if I drink two I feel as if I had a large meal...if I wanted to drink a meal I would have a Guinness.

I don't drink anymore. But when I did, I always looked forward to this time of year when Shiner's Dunkelweizen came out.

It's not too heavy, and has that great spice taste. It gives you that "Christmastime" feeling.

I wish I lived closer to Cleveland when this comes out. Everytime I have friends go back home to Cleveland they can't find it anywhere.

I would buy at least two cases of the stuff, it's absolutely amazing...

                    What does it taste like?

I hate beer, but I've always been interested in trying the Winter beers. Something about sitting by the fire, enjoying a seasonal beer really strikes me.

Enlightin' me w/ some of your favorite seasonal brews.

First off... Paulaner Oktoberfest is good, but not as good as the Spaten Oktoberfestbier. They have both golden and amber versions. If you can find the Spaten Oktoberfestbier buy it immediately, it is outstanding.

Also another good US microbrew seasonal is Santas Special Reserve by Rogue Ales

The Spaten Pils is a very good beer. Never seen the Oktoberfest anywhere.

Wrong, try again. You realize at one time in their history they were a microbrewery? They got as big as they did because people actually like their products. In addition, they still win awards in relevant style categories (not american light lager awards) year after year. For a big brewer, they don't do to bad for themselves.

I love micros and pretty much drink them all the time, but there certainly is nothing wrong with the majority of products that Sam Adams offers.

As for a couple of fall picks, I've been all over Schlafly Pumpkin Ale and Goose Island Harvest Ale. Both mighty tasty.

Ok, i'm readin' pretty good reviews on Budweiser's American Ale...supposedly, it has a caramel malt taste balanced w/ some hops bitterness...just a little.
has anyone tried this yet? i do not care for ANYTHING made by AB, but if this is legit...i'll knock back a few.

I need to go to my local store to see what kind of sample packages they have going on. I'm sure New Belgium has something going on here for the stores.
