I love it. It was 64 less than 12 hours ago, now it's 19, with a windchill of 8.

Wow. We're supposed to have a huge temperature dropoff, too.

All of the models are trending towards a huge Western/Central North Carolina snowstorm. 6-12 inches is looking very likely. Things can change, but everything has been trending better and better with a more northward track, giving us the heavy snow as opposed to giving South Carolina the heavy snow (One of the runs even gave southeast Georgia a ton of snow, LOL).

Well, somebody is getting a ton of snow in North Carolina and Virginia on Sunday. The question is where. I have read that a band of 12-18 inches of snow is likely to set up between I-85 and I-95. I hope that sets up at I-85!

My local weather is calling for 3-6 inches of snow now, but I think we could likely get more than that.

Winter Storm Warnings up for Western Tennessee and Northern Mississippi for 2-4 inches of snow.

Winter Storm Watches up for the Piedmont of North Carolina (including me). The upstate of South Carolina down to the county north of Columbia also is under a Winter Storm Watch.

Man, I thought winter was over with. It was in the 50's and 60's yesterday. Then I check the weather today and it says we get at least 6 inches Sunday night through Monday morning. We got like 2-3 inches earlier this year and that was the biggest blast we got. I'd be thrilled to see 6 inches.

Taking a closer look now, it's saying rain/snow early Sunday morning. Then it's going to change to a wintry mix (I guess that's sleet, freezing rain, snow). Then it'll go to straight snow in the evening and Monday morning. I don't think we'll get close to 6 inches if that's the case. It'll be too wet and the snow won't be coming down hard enough for it to stick.

67° Wednesday, 64° Thursday, 6" of snow (Plus the snow the melted due to the ground being so warm) and 25° today. L.O.L.

So much for, "One inch of snow early in the morning", that the weather channel predicted at 3 AM this morning when I went to bed.

Winter Weather Advisories now all the way down past Macon, Georgia. Alabama needs to be put under an advisory or a warning. I'm not sure why NWS Huntsville is taking so long to issue them. Heavy snow is being reported in Memphis.

EDIT: Columbia, South Carolina is now under a Winter Weather Advisory.

EDIT #2: Winter Weather Advisories now up for Huntsville, Alabama and the rest of Northern Alabama. A Winter Storm Watch is up for the same areas for Sunday morning-Sunday afternoon. I think they should probably extend them down to at least Birmingham, but we'll see.

Places in Western Tennessee and Arkansas are reporting 10+" of snow. They were predicted to get 2-4". They blew that forecast!

I hope we get that here!
