I was in the ocean at one point in December and it was 115 degrees. It's 41 right now in Mississippi. It's nice to have more of a wintery weather.

Re: So what's the weather like where you live?

Old man winter is packing a punch in the Wisconsin area. We live in an area that will be least affected by the snow.

This is a pan handle hook out of Texas from the Rockies. Depending on where the low goes, we either get rain or a dumpload of snow out of these. Our snowblower hate these snows because they are heavy and wet.

Just 1.5 hrs west of here, Madison, they are predicting 9-15 inches of snow. This system is starting tonight and ending Friday morning. We are going to be warm enough to rain tonight, possibly hear thunder, all day tomorrow rain and turning to heavy snow tomorrow night with 3-5 inches predicted.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph.

        Hang on to your hats.

        Forecast for Madison, WI.

        Blizzard warning.

Tonight Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 30. Blustery, with a northeast wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 4 to 6 inches possible.

Thursday Rain and snow, becoming all snow after noon. The snow could be heavy at times. Some thunder is also possible. High near 35. Windy, with a northeast wind 20 to 25 mph becoming northwest 25 to 30 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 4 to 7 inches possible.

Thursday Night Snow likely with widespread blowing snow before midnight, then areas of blowing snow after midnight. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 18. Windy, with a northwest wind 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.

Yeah, we in Ohio are going to get hit by this same system Thursday night into Friday.

Also, looking like we are going to have a White Christmas. Which is awesome.

Here in Chicago we are supposed to get hit by the same system later this afternoon. We are supposed to get 3-6 inches which is not a lot, but there is going to be wind gusts up to 50-60 mph. ouch.

Why is it that at 7am on a Chicago morning, it felt more like April than it did December?

I can't believe how much rain we're getting.

Oh winter will be here in an hour... been raining all day and suppose to drop from 48 to 30 by 6 this followed by 50-60mph winds and snow showers. I just hope to get home from work before the "fun" starts.
