Supposed to have another wind chill advisory tomorrow with it being around -20. Of course, my school isn't canceled, and I have a big paper due tomorrow lol.

^ For some reason I decided to count ours. 61 days. Current streak of 19, which could extend out to 23.

Big storm on the way for portions of the SE and Mid-Atlantic next week, likely. Looks major here.

I'm surprised to count only 10 days of below zero lows. No clue what the below zero wind chill count would be, probably at least triple that.

Where would you look up historical records? Like, to see if January would crack the top ten coldest months in record

So sick of the cold *** weather this year.

They said on the news last nite that we average 8 days a winter season that the temperature gets below 0 degrees. So far this season there has been 23 days below 0.

Should be very interesting for sure. I'm hoping for anything but ice.

Still a lot of uncertainty but it looks like a decent snow/ice event for the south and south east could be coming up. People are joking that Atlanta will probably close schools today just to be on the safe side.

well the NWS issued a Winter Storm Watch now with 1-2" for the metro area, although it will mainly be at night ... Accuweather still doesn't have any snow in the forecast though

I have the Accuweather app and it kind of sucks. Maybe the weather has been a little crazier then usual but it's been pretty off.

Caught a break, the local station looked it up for me, it's the coldest winter in Saginaw since 1984, although it would still be cool to see a top 10 list. I can't remember it being so consistently cold like this, it's crazy. Crazy annoying.

I'd expect RAH to issue Winter Storm Watches for your area and mine tonight. It looks like a potentially historic storm with more sleet and freezing rain to the south and east and heavy snow north and west. If my area can say all-snow (which is highly questionable), we might make a run at a foot. Upstate SC and N GA look primed for a devastating ice storm... I'd guess the Raleigh area will get a decent pop of snow and then a lot of sleet. We'll see.

Atlanta is not going to mess this one up. I'll probably try to fly back early Tuesday. There should be some snow/rain through Tuesday, but Wednesday will be the ice issues.

Yup that's what it's looks like for raleigh. Looking at the weather graphs on the NOAA site it looks like about an inch or two of snow then sleet and freezing rain mixing in for the duration. One thing that people seem to be in debate about is the start time. Some outlets are saying Tuesday afternoon while others are pointing towards Wednesday morning. Either way it's shaping up to be pretty nasty. Hoping my power stays on.
