I went to NYC today, it got up to 78. Now I'm home, it's 10:39 and its 62.

Just over a week till Christmas and it's supposed to feel like 13C(55F). I still see people mowing their lawns, doing various outdoor type work around their yard, and even people with plants/vegetables still growing.

This is one of the strangest Decembers I've ever seen. "Global warming"? I like it.

To think...last year around this time,a number of places hit hard with snowstorms. 2 years ago, so many places around here got buried in snow and ice, that so many people lost power. But right now..people could go Christmas shopping without a jacket.

Last year, on our way to many weeks of single digit and below zero temps.

Right now, at 3am, on December 13th, in Ohio? 62 degrees. Supposed to get up to 71. We tied our all time high (62 degrees) for the city on December 13th at midnight.

I drove into work the last two mornings and nights wearing just jeans and a dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up and the car windows down.

What the hell is going on?

Been warm like it has been for most of the East, but dipping before another warm spell for Christmas.

It was definitely freezing raining earlier.

No snow expected for rest of month. A december without snow...this is so weird. Might be one of warmest decembers in decades

Finally feels like December outside with temps in the 30's and I even saw a couple snowflakes while I was out. Still no measurable snow yet this season and saw that this is the latest in the season that Pittsburgh has gone without measurable snow since records have been kept. Supposed to be in the 50's and even low 60's again next week though. Short sleeves and Christmas don't belong in the same sentence when you live in the Northeast.

It has been in the 50's in North West Germany... and for this time of year, that is very warm. Two years ago we had a foot of snow.

Update! Finally got our first measureable snowfall of the season last night. Caused some problems and accidents on a bunch of roads and bridges around the area.

Wait, North West Germany? Your location says Tampa, FL

                      Thank you El Nino.

We have a high of 52 coming Weds. with a good chance of rain.

So far the Tornado that hit in Dallas (less than five miles from my home) has devastated multiple neighborhoods and killed 11. They are still searching for more victims while assessing the damage. More severe storms are on the way (and going on right now). Meanwhile, the western half of the state is below freezing and facing winter storm advisories including ice and snow.

In fact, this sums it up pretty well:

I wore a Hawaiian shirt and shorts on Christmas. Still shorts and t-shirt weather today. We've had highs close to 70 the past few weeks.

I don't think I've ever experienced a winter this warm in Maryland, at least not that I remember.

                            The calm before the storm.

They are calling for ice, freezing rain and rain at the end of this big storm coming up for Monday and Monday night.

9am till 3pm sleet and freezing rain, rain after 3pm.

I would prefer to have snow.

Yep, I take snow over ice 10 times out of 10, I'm hoping it holds off long enough tomorrow to get errands done, I don't need to worry about people overestimating their ability to drive on a skating rink
