To add on to the last post, Tuesday will be really hot. Wednesday afternoon almost as bad. However, Wednesday night is supposed to drop like crazy.

Strong thunderstorm projected. Don't wanna jinx it but I honestly can't remember last time I've seen /heard a violent thunderstorm. Small ones every several months maybe, but past few years there really hasn't been anything around here. Occasional lightning and can hear thunder from far away but that's it. I might have forgotten what thunderstorms are like. Probably gonna be reminded in a loud way on Wednesday.

And I jinxed it!

Not 1 drop of rain. Wasn't even cloudy for consecutive hours all day.

I should've been a weatherman. Can be wrong so often and it's fine.

Another one of those crazy weather moments.

Middle of last week was so hot, people needed AC, and most public schools don't have AC so that was one of the big back to school stories.

Today feels like Halloween or something with it being so dark,windy and cold.

We actually had to put the heat on (admittedly at a low rate but still) here.

Last night was cold. Still didn't use heat though.

This morning was insane. Like a blizzard,except temperature was above freezing. Obviously in weather like this you'd expect twigs and smaller branches to break, but I think this might be the 2nd biggest branch break I've ever seen on my yard. Most fortunate part is 0 damage(that I can see, I'm not inspecting the area until it's safer), which is crazy considering where the branch landed. It was directly underneath some cables, meaning it was windy enough that a branch broke and flew sideways instead of straight down, not even clipping any cables.

They shut down schools from Tuesday until the end of the week, I've been off work since Wednesday.

It barely rained, shout out the meteorologists and Mother Nature.

Summers almost over

Friday will be last summer day(temperature wise). Will be windy and feeling like 38C(100F) near Friday afternoon. On Saturday morning it will feel like 8C(46F)!

Yes, in just over a 12 hour span it'll go from a hot July day to a cool fall night.

Rain setting in for the weekend that is supposed to bring in fall like temperatures. While I love summer, I'm looking forward to the fall temperatures while watching baseball and playing video games all weekend.

Couldn't agree more with the above post. I love the fall weather. You got the crisp autumn air and football. Curled up with a good video game. I love everything about this time of the year.

So windy right now I actually saw a mattress fly.

Someone left an old mattress out by the curb, and the wind picked it up and blew it 20 feet. Luckily the mattress stayed on the sidewalk because a car was parked on the road infront of the place it landed.

That would've been a funny insurance call. "My car got damaged by a flying mattress".

Jeez, we just had a taste of tropical torrential downpour! The wind was going crazy and BUCKETS of rain was just going down SIDEWAYS. I've only seen a downpour like that in this area a handful of times. Thankfully it was a short blast but it was enough to cause the power to flicker off for a minute.

Storms just blew through and the temp is dropping. Windows open and nice breeze blowing thru the house. Feels good.
