Re: So what's the weather like where you live?

Just got back to good, old, windy, freezing Missouri from warm, beautiful, fun San Antonio.

I was in shorts and a t-shirt all last week. I even worried about getting too hot if I wore black to Fiesta Texas on Wednesday.

Yep, I woke up this morning forgetting that it was 30 degrees outside instead of a perfect 73.

The record high for this date was 49 degrees in 1985.

It's supposed to get up to 60 degrees today.

A guy I went to college with, who happens to be the son of one of my staff at work, lives where you do. Apparently he has a tee time set up for somewhere today? WTF? Has it even snowed there yet?

Highs have been in the mid 80s for days.

Is it ****ing January? Are there NFL playoffs this weekend?

We had one legitimate snowfall that led to accumulation, but it only ended up being an inch or so, and then it melted a couple days later. We've had more occurrences of rain than snow since "winter" began.

This area went from record-setting levels of wetness to record-setting levels of dryness in a matter of a couple months.

I'm not a big fan of long range forecasts but after reading the story below it looks like winter might begin to pick up for the eastern states in mid-late January.

They've been saying it's supposed to be an above average winter for snow up here too.

They might as well be practicing alchemy when they predict more than a day or two in advance.

Crazy to think that two years ago at this time it was nearly -30 here, without windchill.

28 degrees, about 2 inches of snow on the ground and it is still snowing very hard.

I'll take the no snow and 60 degrees.

                        Its freezing.

Yesterday morning it was 25 degrees and only made it to a high in the mid 40's. This morning it was in the high 40's at wake up and reached a high of 76 this afternoon.

Valdez got 30 inches of snow in 24 hours. That's a lot of snow lol.

60 degrees and sunny without a cloud in the sky. Is this January or March?
