It has been non stop rain here in Mobile since Friday, in the last 24 hours we have had a total of 16.3 inches and it isn't expected to stop until tomorrow.

I drove down from Anchorage to Seattle and it rained the entire time through Canada. I talked to someone in Canada and he said it rained for 30 straight hours. I swear that rain cloud followed me from Alaska.

Fire near us started yesterday in the morning, estimated to be around 2 acres. Tonight its sitting around 20,000 acres with 0% containment still. Seems like the heavy winds always match up perfectly with a wild fire to just spread it out in a crazy rate.
Still doesnt compare to the 280,000 acre fire I was involved in back in San Diego.Aaron

From the last survey they did, it was about 5 miles out so there's still a gap but not much considering how crazy the fire has gone; burning green fields, etc. It'll be interesting tomorrow morning to see if its creeping over the foothills and what the winds will dictate.Aaron

Insane rain event here. We're at about 6 inches since yesterday afternoon with more on the way. Probably the worst flooding within the city since 1972. The city is on a gigantic hill, so this doesn't happen often.Comment
