Was a couple violent quick storms this afternoon. Front yard got hit by lightening, as usual, I swear my front yard seems to get hit every other storm. Still pretty hot and humid though, the high today was 95 degrees before the storms came.

San Diego was about 80 degrees today. Flew back home to Washington (State) this evening to 95 degree weather. Washingtonians will understand the feeling...

Last night a bolt of lighting struck right outside my window again. The shock wave from it set of a car alarm. This morning I walked outside and found that it had split a pine tree right down its trunk. According to a couple of my neighbors, several large splinters were blown out into the parking lot. Luckily no one was out there and no cars had major damage.

It got to 108 where I live in Oregon. First time it has got over 100 here in almost 2 years. It's now 12:35 am and it's still 86 degrees. Supposed to have some thunderstorms tomorrow.

Vicious storm rolled through today...winds must have been about 60. Knocked over 2 of my cacti. One was dead and it was just a matter of time, but another got split it half and is in 3 pieces. Think we got a good inch of rain today...should get us in the 2 1/2 range for the year now.

Storms and cold front moved through last night.....well more like a cool front. Temps are down to 90 from 98 but still nasty and humid.

Nasty. And they're always wrong too so you can pretty much add 5-7 degrees to those numbers.

40 days so far in July and August over 90 and 3 straight still to come.

Its time for fall I'm done with the heat.

Lots of rain. According to the news we've had 7 inches of rain in the last 24 hours in Saginaw. That seems like a lot, anyone know what the snow equivalent would be?

The weirdest part is the high today was 58... I can't remember the last time we had a early/mid August day with a high of just 58.

70+ It all depends on the makeup of the snow. Heavier stuff would be less. The lower temperature prevents that much moisture in almost all winter storms.
