As for the 2nd amendment, didn't they place it in there so that the government wouldn't be the only one that had weapons? Back then it was probably more important then it is now, I would think.

I certainly disagree with the last sentence. Here's a quote....

So you hold onto the kid to stop all that from happening. Or if you can't do that for whatever reason, you follow him around. You don't need to question him to stop things from happening.

The police are adults, they can represent him.

I own one for protection. I have a permit/license to carry a concealed weapon and I do. Never had to use it thankfully.

In this day and age, there are far too many people out there that are willing to shoot you for the most minute things, thus is why I carry one to protect myself for these "wimps".

Being a Canadian, it's just weird reading things like that.
I don't know any Canadian who owns a firearm to protect him/herself.
I'm sure there are some, but it's rare.

That said, it's 1,000 times harder getting a gun here than the U.S., though I'm sure if a criminal wants one ... they'll get one.

gotta give props to this kid...maybe the dad and his friend were abusing the kid i mean why would i kid just shoot his dad, gotta be a reason. i thank this kid did the right thing if his dad was abusing him..its an eye for an eye. feel bad for him though

The right thing is to call the police, never to kill. If he had a gun pointed to his head, that's a different story, but I personally still wouldn't shoot to kill in that situation.

Im pretty close to this case (ill leave it at that) But the cops initially questioned him as a witness, 'cause, the kid gave them info. that someone else did it. And so didnt merandize him.

and the 2nd admendment has nothing to do with hunting or anything like that,

necessary to the security of a free State

Its to stop the tyranny of government.
