They gave him some medicine to take to fix it but I guess he stopped so he could still do the carnival shows..

I have seen this guy on television before.

My girlfriend who happened to be watching the program with me quickly stated "Oh my God is he scary! There is no way I would want to be in a dark alley with him!"

To which I replied "It's OK sweetie. The guy is practically harmless. He's all bark and no bite."

I saw him on CNN a few weeks back. It's amazing that something like that can happen. I gotta laugh when people rush to get plastic surgery for cosmetic enhancements and a guy is dealing with this.

This is a pretty old story - but that would suck beyond belief to have.

I remember seeing a special on Discovery or something about it. Pretty amazing how he's still alive.

Isn't the reason for all the growths that his body extra keratin-izes all his cells? So he essentially has "nails" where there would be skin

The crazy thing is at the hospital I work at in South Louisiana we had a guy with a similar problem. His whole hand looked like a monster hand with scales and really weird nails. They amputated the hand, but could not identify the source of the anomaly. Stuff like this makes you wonder what else is out there that we have yet to see.
