I don't like the expression, "Same Difference"

Well it's either the same or it's different!
When I was just a little boy
I asked my father what would he be
Is he like Wrighty, or Titi henry?
Here’s what he said to me
oh Vela Vela, our Mexican superstar
    He’s better than Lou Saha
    oh Vela Vela…

I admit, I'm guilty of using this phrase.

You may hate the saying, but it is what it is, so deal with it!

I used as a way of saying "I don't care for it, but I can't change it, so I'll deal with it."

              It is what it is.

It's a great saying if you use it sparingly.

When was this saying getting a lot of attention in the news recently? I think it was during the steroids Congress investigations, McNamee or whatever his name was....pretty sure he used it, and my roommates and I used the hell out of this phrase for like 2 weeks afterwards making fun of him. Still makes for great comedic value when used at the right time

Re: "It is what it is"

Suprisingly, I've yet to hear someone bust a "two-fer" as in:

"At the end of the day, it is what it is"

                      Or go for the trifecta:

"At the end of the day, it is what it is, but it's all good"

I suppose I'd end up bouncing a full beer can off of the perpetrator's forehead in either scenario, tho...so with any luck it won't happen any time soon...

"It is what it is" is freaking irritating in the worst way.

If people want to say the supposed "meaning" of that ridiculous saying, they can just say "That's just how it is." or "That's just how it goes."

"It is what it is, as long as we execute on the defensive end, and take one game at a time."

"The course looks good, my swing feels good, I like my chances."
