      Who was it Shawn Kemp?

Seriously though, you shouldn't even have children if you are going to do this.
When I was just a little boy
I asked my father what would he be
Is he like Wrighty, or Titi henry?
Here’s what he said to me
oh Vela Vela, our Mexican superstar
      He’s better than Lou Saha
      oh Vela Vela…

The thing I can't understand is, how do these kids at 15-16-17 just go along with being left at a hospital? They can't find their way back home?

I've heard about this law before. I have no idea why they would make such a stupid law. It has good intentions, but did they not contemplate the certainty that this would be taken advantage of?

Maybe their parents are D-bags and they do not mind getting left behind. In all seriousness if a parent is trying to do this to a child who is not a newborn you don't want to be with them.

I'm willing to bet that it's the exact opposite.

More than likely, these kids are the "I can have sex/drink/do drugs if I want and there's nothing you can do to stop me" and "I can make it in the real world without you" kids.

I remember reading something about this over the summer, and a lot of the people doing the drop offs weren't parents but relatives who had taken in the children.

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I am sure there is some of that as well.

If parents don't discipline their children as infants, they end up w/these spoiled, bad seed teenagers.

I just don't get the rush to dump these kids off. Sounds downright cruel.

And again, I read an article on the topic and several of the people doing it didn't have the kid as a young'un. Essentially, imagine you're minding your own business and your junkie brother gets locked up or dies, and you get his 12 year old son.

12-16 year old have the high school slut problem. On one hand, you feel somewhat sorry for the high school slut because she's somewhat being taken advantage of by her peers. on the other hand, everybody else isn't getting gangbanged by 5 dudes after school. Some of these kids are going through a phase or are bad parenting, but some are just losers who need to be dropped.
