Isn't what it used to be. I remember the glory days with Dan Patrick and Olbermann were doing Sportscenter. Those guys had genuine personality. Today, everyone seems to be trying to hard to be funny, and everyone sounds so fake.

And I wish that Sportcenter would show highlights of all the games. I am amazed that the Carolina Panthers are now 8-2 and, they are never even mentioned on Monday Mornings or any highlights shown of them at all. Perhaps, they are not aware that the Panthers are an NFL team. It seems that every time I watch all they show are Cowboy highlights. Back in the day, they used to show highlights of all the games in all sports, even the teams that play in smaller markets. End rant.

i still watch espn a lot but its more annoying than ever...on every highlight do they have to add their little comments and try to be funny? it gets old fast we just want to see some damn highlights. I usually watched PTI and around the horn but hardly do i ever watch SC anymore cant take it.

I can't stand ESPN anymore, but I do agree about Bedwetter...he is one of the better sports anchors.

ESPN is just horrible. Sportscenter is unbearable to me. The worst part about it is all your friends who get their sports info from ESPN are impossible to talk sports with now because they are so dumbed down and they only believe what ESPN makes them think. Such a disgrace

ESPN is never on my TV unless it's a college basketball game or Sunday Night Baseball. Their shows rival MTV/BET/VH1 in terms of the worst stuff on TV.

The rest is crap and I usually watch ESPNEWS for highlights.

Its gone downhill because everyone has to be freaking overloaded with entertainment. They cant just run highlights anymore, they have to do it to music videos, with 8 people on set talking at each other. Its like rapid fire epileptic highlights as opposed to what it used to be

If you like Scott Van Pelt that's one thing. To say he brings credibility to the program is another. He's probably the go-to guy on Sportscenter these days but that doesn't mean anything. The way he butchers players names on purpose trying to get his co-anchor to laugh absolutely disgusts me. I remember watching Champions League highlights one day and he was going out of his way to pronounce player names and team names wrong in a massively failed attempt at being humorous.

To be honest I never even watch SC any more. If I want my sports news, I'll turn on ESPNews, unless it's a rebroadcast of ATH or PTI, unless I missed PTI.

The FAN here in Toronto airs the overnight ESPN radio programming and it's HOOORIBLE especially Jason Smith. I used to rail against Todd Wright but Smith makes Wright look like a Hall of Fame broadcaster.

Bob Valvano who does the weekend overnight shift isn't so bad though.

i agree SPTO Smith is downright awful. Valvano i think actually does a pretty good job. I wish they would bring Eric Kuselis back to radio full time
