I whole 30 minutes? I might just kill myself first."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace
"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer -

My father, we would just talk. There is nothing I cherish more than just the conversations we have with each other on a daily basis.WUSTLComment

Re: What if when you died.....
It's incredibly hard to just pick one...
It'd come down to my family, without a doubt. Either my mom, dad, or one of my sisters. I honestly couldn't pick just one because there would be so much I'd want to say to each of them.Comment

Re: What if when you died.....
Funny!
I love my wife, mom, dad, and brother very much, but I would choose to spend that last bit of time with my son. I assume I will be much older than I am now, and that he will be a grown man by the time my number is up.
I would let him know that I love him, and when I was hard on him it was to make him a better man. I would also let him know that he should always choose to do the right thing, and not follow the crowd. The measure of a man is how he is perceived by others. If other people see him as a good man and he is a good man, I would feel as though I have done what I was put on this planet to do.Comment

Wish I could say the same about my Dad. We never had a great relationship. I still get emotional about it.Comment

Re: What if when you died.....
Honestly, it'd probably be with whatever hot girl I had a thing for at the time. Maybe Anna Kournikova? Maybe Megan Fox? There are a lot of girls that I know or see frequently that I'd choose too ... Atleast that was my first thought.
Thinking about it deeper, I'm not sure. Probably a family member.Favorite Sports Teams

Re: What if when you died.....
What if it's something that can't be cured in 30 minutes?
Do you want to spend the next 30 minutes talking to a doctor?
I mean I like my doctor and he's a nice guy but I don't know if I'd want to spend the last 30 minutes of my life with him.Comment
