Well thats what its coming down to now. Take a step back. The kid was just overall disruptive. He also turned off computers that kids were using, etc. He was 13 years old. You can't manhandle a disruptive kid. If I was the teacher, and some kid was wreaking havoc in the classroom, I would call security. If there isn't any security you pretty much have to call the police.

If you put your hands on a kid these days even to sit them down or escort them out of the school, their greedy parents will sue. You don't have alot of recourse these days. Its not like when I was growing up and the teacher would take the kid by the ear down to the principal's office.

Sad to say Fist, but you are right.

Gone of the days of a kid being fearful of trouble. Now they just do what they want. Could not be a teacher in this day in age.

True - if I also recall, there's a school district in Texas (if I remember correctly) that teachers are allowed to "pack heat" because the police department is too far away to respond quickly if an emergency comes up.

Was he put in handcuffs and lead through the school in them? If it was an SRO most likely they just took him down and called him mom. I doubt he is in the police system now and expecting a court date. SRO's are just a level above mall security. They are City PD but work for the school.

I've worked with a lot of kids in schools around my community and I've wanted to punch many of them in the chest. This generation of children is horrible and discipline means nothing to them. I'm only 27 and schools have changed so much since I was a student.
