Bring the Mc-DLT back at this point. I mean, it kept the hot side hot and the cold side cold. What more can you ask for? Other than perhaps slightly more environmentally-friendly packaging...

McDonald's has the Daily Double, which is the closet thing to it. It isn't separated like the McDLT.

Suddenly, I feel I am a little too familiar with McDonald's menu... and I don't work there.

I got a Big Mac for the first time in many years the other day, and I was surprised, angry, and saddened at how small they've gotten. And trust me, I haven't gotten any bigger in that time. The sandwich is friggin' tiny now - how can they even call it a "Big" Mac at this point?

It's the worst travesty in the history of mankind.

I'll take a quarter pounder with cheese over a big mac every time.

On another note, I wonder what the longest active thread in internet message board history is 🧐

A quick Google search came up with this from reddit

              https://www.reddit.com/r/answers/com..._the_internet/

The thread linked in the above lin was literally started with the intention of being the longest (reaching 1,000,000 posts)

That's by post count though, not time duration (which 16 years old is no slouch, but I figure something somewhere is hitting the 20-year-old time no problem).

My first ever message board was called FanHome (which had a user named trane, a.k.a. Dennis Gomes, who was sadly killed the same minute of his last posting in one of the WTC towers on 9/11). There was a thread there called "Ask Grandstander," where a user of the same name answered any questions asked his way. The board no longer exists, but I guarantee you that if it was still around, he would still be answering questions today. Someone tried to spin off it with "HomeFan" for which he had a temporary thread for only a short while, but left it once he found it wasn't the FanHome of old.

That being said, I still remember when I created this thread, where I was, and what the day was like that morning, etc. I can't believe it's been twelve years, but hell my point still stands today. I don't go to McDonald's anymore (maybe have gone twice in the last five years). It's no longer worth its value.

I'll stop in now and again if A) I'm in no hurry B) I'm starving and C) it's convenient.

in fact, I stopped by one this morning for a couple McGriddles.

KFC has gotten rid of their potato wedges and replaced them with "Secret Recipe" fries.

Darn, I liked those. As long as Arby's never gets rid of their potato cakes....those things are the absolute best.

is there a difference? maybe they wanted to join the "secret sauce" trend and figured "secret wedgies" would freak people out

Took my Dad to Rooster's yesterday for Father's Day.

Got their BLT sandwich and potato wedges.

                          So damn good.

Re: And just like that, Subway just lost one, if not millions of customers

I just found out Subway discontinued its roast beef (alongside rotisserie chicken).

I say "just" because apparently this happened mid/late June, but I've been supporting a local sandwich shop and haven't looked at Subway for quite some time now.

Unless I'm getting a breakfast sandwich, I guess I'll never go to Subway again for myself...

yeah I'm usually a roast beef guy when it comes to Subway but until this past Tuesday I hadn't had Subway since probably mid-March. when I saw roast beef was off the menu I assumed it was temporary. thankfully I still like there meatball marina and also the chicken teriyaki. I used to eat a subway quite a decent amount. if roast beef is permanently gone I'll be okay with a turkey sub as long as I can still get pepperjack cheese. also there are two subways in my little hometown and both never discontinued honeyoat bread. if I can't get either roast beef or pepperjack or honeyoat, then I'll probably tap out too when things go back to routine.

I don't have anything McD's related but speaking of discontinued items I stopped at Zaxby's yesterday evening and they're probably definitely maybe dead to me now as it looks like they discontinued onion rings

I prefer WaWa's meatball sub over Subways, even if both are probably frozen.
