Re: Car Crashes...
If I wanted to I could be in one every day and it technically not be my fault. My town has horrible traffic because all the entertainment is in the exact same spot. They have the two stop lights in that area time so that you don't have to slow down between then, it turns green just before you get to it.
There is always a moron who is trying to beat the red turning from another directon and almost every day if I am first in line if I just accelerated normally I would t-bone him and it would be their fault because they ran the red and I had a green.Comment

Re: Car Crashes...
Got rear-ended last year in October on my way to school- there was a stop behind a school bus in the AM and every car came to a pretty sudden but manageable stop. I'm stopped and then I hear tired squealing and then a thud and I see a Jeep Liberty pull over to the side of the road. I didn't feel much so I pull in front of the guy and check the damage. The whole right rear fended was obliterated and was hanging off the edge of the car. I was surprised because I didn't feel much.
It worked out- I went through his insurance and got 3 weeks of a rental car paid for and the 5600 dollars worth of repairs. This is why we have insurance- as long everybody is OK, there's no reason to be angry. I wasn't angry- trust me, getting ticked off doesn't help anybody.

Re: Car Crashes...
I've been in one accident.
I was leaving a car show in my 97 Ford Ranger (clearly NOT in the car show... haha... just a spectator). However, there was a Mustang behind me... late 90's to early 2000's model... it was in the car show. I was actually admiring said car behind me with my girlfriend of the time.
There was construction on the road, and it was down from two lanes traveling north-bound to one. And it was busy because everyone was leaving the car show.
I was glancing off to my left as traffic slowly crepped along. I look up and see that I'm heading strait for the stopped car in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and turned a bit to the side, just in case I couldn't stop on time, I'd at least miss the car in front of me.
Once I saw I wasn't going to slam the car in front of me, I glanced in my rearview and saw that green and black mustang heading strait for my rear bumper.
BAM!
I was freaking out. Scared more than anything. I knew I couldn't afford to pay for my car, let alone his. My girlfriend calmed me down, and I pulled off on the shoulder. I got out of my car and ran strait back to make sure everyone was OK in the Mustang, apologizing for stopping so abruptly and not even looking at my truck at the time.
The guy had to climb out of his window to get out of the car because the door wouldn't open. He was fine, and very nice about everything.
His car, on the other hand, was pretty scarred. He ripped open the hood and was basically just throwing stuff out of it. I don't know much about cars, but I think his radiator was bashed in and stuff.
I looked back at my truck finally... nothing wrong with it. No dents or falling off bumpers. I had two little scratches on the bumper... never even had them taken out or anything.
Turns out the guy had no insurance for the car, anyway. Or maybe he was truthful in saying it just wasn't in his car. If I had any damage worth noting, I would have called the cops right there, but it wasn't even worth it.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? Re: Car Crashes...
I had my first accident when I was 16 months old. My mom got out of the car in our alley to open the garage and I slid over (it was a old huge car with bench seats) and hit the gear stick into reverse. The car rolled over about 2 houses and hit a brick fence, I wasnt hurt.
2nd accident when I was 8. Was crossing the street and was hit by a car. Was in a coma for a week and stayed in the hospital for a month and then to a rehibilitation center for a month (I was paralyzed temporarily on one side)
Had my other 2 accidents both on Christmas Eve. Once got hit in my quarter panel by some old people on my way to pay my tuition and second, got hit from behind on my way home from the Bears game.Comment
