Yeah, I agree with everything you said. I was just speaking in general terms. I wasn't tryin to pick on the little dudes lol

If people play out of position and ruin the fun for everyone else, whether it's jacking up bad shots, handling the ball for extended periods of time, not playing defense, or not putting up any effort, it's frustrating.

Exactly, it's a two way street. I hate when I play with guards who bitch at me for not posting up yet when I post up I never get the ball from them. I mix it up, probably 60/40 perimeter to post when I'm playing pick up games. In league games with officials and foul shots I'm on the block 75% of the time but there's no point in playing down there in pick up games when you're 6'8 because I get intentionally fouled every time I make a good move and get open down there, the help D comes and gives me a bear hug. I don't need to deal with that this point in my life, it's not worth it.

It's been a long time since I have played some ball. I'm about 5'6 and I think I don't play with anyone over 6'2 or 6'4 but I always end up playing some post. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I ended up with a big man skills set in a small man's body. Don't get me wrong I can step back in shoot, but I feel completely at home in the paint. Nothing like blocking out some bigger dude and getting the rebound.

Ha, I always found that funny when people do that. This little asian kid(like 5'5) tried the box me out and get a rebound. His head was at my waist, and I simply leaped over the top of him(not over him, but grab the ball over the top of him). No way in hell he can get a 'board over me. Then again, he didn't have any bounce, so no offense to the little dudes. Most of the lil hoopers can get up there.

I'm the same way. I'm not about to play pickup ball and get flagrantly fouled when I drive to the hoop. I already got back problems and I don't want to get taken out by some bum who got caught out of position.

I'm 6-3, 215 lbs and long and athletic. I'm a pretty decent pick up player. I play D and can shoot. I can't dribble to save my life. I'm a catch & shoot or bang down low kinda guy.

Haha man if you just put some weight on. That was unfair to have me match up with you, just physically speaking.

You did out hustle me though, I remember that.

You would dominate me, I'm a decent pick up player who's 6-3 and white. You're 6-7 and probably more athletic.

If we had a 3-point competition I like my chances but anything other than that I'm not feeling very confident.

Thats what I had to do to make it there. I was just on a horrible team. I remember getting at least 3 offensive rebounds by being faster than the defender to the ball.

I think I can move pretty good without the ball. I run around a lot on offense.

I definitely need to work on ball handling, I'm afraid of losing the ball when getting double'd and playing against really good players.

How do you develop confidence on the court? I struggle so much with this, it destroys me.

I know with me, I just worked hard on something I was already good at(rebounding, post defense)and it just built up on it's own because I knew I may not do anything on offense but on the Defense, I kinda looked at that as like a "Yea you're in my world now *****" type confidence lol.
