Sure you could make the case but it wouldn't win. She didn't get fired for saying Merry Christmas to coworkers. She got fired for saying Merry Christmas to greeted callers. You don't think an employer can tell its employees how to greet callers?

Ha Ha Ha....this is the part where everyone wants government to step in and force the employer to allow her to say Merry Christmas.

except Jesus wasn't born in December?
I'd a fired her butt too. If you don't want to do what your employer asks you to do, quit accepting their paycheck and you won't have to.
This is a bad example of some dumbo listening to too much radio talk crap and thinking she was fighting some battle for religious freedom. Re: Getting fired from your job for saying 'Merry Christmas'
The article I read said that the company was owned by Christians and that she was fired for other reasons. They didn't say why, as this was coming from the lawyer, but it seems like there are some facts that are not out there as we only have one side of the story. As a company, I can see why they don't want here saying it as they don't want to have to pay for any stupid lawsuits. Most companies allow you to say Merry Christmas if the customer says it to you.
We is the ACLU? I thought they defended people's religious rights? They should have jumped all over this case and got every news station to cover it. Oh yeah .... I should stop before I go too far and get a penalty.Comment
