Here's the funny thing about my paretns. My parents have been married for 38 years. For the last 20 years (or more) they've been fighting on a regular basis. I can't remember when was the last time they agreed on something. Ususally my dad used to kiss my mom on "good days" and my mom would slighly flinch (hope it's the correct word). For years I can't remember my mom kissing my dad without him asking for it. I lived with my parents until I was 30, so I pretty much know what's going on.
But...something very strange happened the past year. Whenever my wife and I visit my parents, I see my mom approaching my dad, kissing and hugging him. Seems like they're very happy now. I asked my brother if he had noticed that and he said "sure" - like it's been there for a long time (and honestly it's not). I swear I haven't seen this kind of affection in 20 years. Not that they agree on things now, but it's still amazing. I have no idea what has changed. I don't want to think that I was the problem. Can't be, right guys?My Specs:

Unfortunately, no. My mother died when I was 7. My dad remarried when I was 12. However, my step-mom went crazy and committed suicide when I was 17.
My dad and I (as well as my 3 brothers) have a decent bond with my dad. I like it better when it's just us guys anyway. The whole stepmom and stepbrother/sister thing was too much drama (not to mention they had no morals, values, or manners).
The only way I'm divorcing is if there's abuse in the relationship or something along those lines. I wouldn't say "I love you" if I didn't mean it. Thankfully, I've found someone who feels the same way (and comes from a pretty crazy family herself).NHL - Philadelphia Flyers

Yep, 38 years strong now, and my Wife's parents are going on 36 years strong. What's awesome is that both sets of parents still have a lot of fun together and truly are still in love. I guess that is why I look at my Wife and I only being married for 6 years( although a great 6 years) as such an insignificant number of years.Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Nah mine divorced back in '83 when I was seven. They sat me down and explained what was going on and gave me the choice where I wanted to stay. I chose to stay in West Virginia with my dad because I loved being out in the country and plus my grandparents lived next door and the other set lived 2 miles up the street.
My mom remarried back in '93 the summer before my senior year of high school to a real stand up dude. He and my dad get along so everything is cool. Both of them walked my sister down the aisle when she got married.Fav teams:

My parents have been together 36 years (give or take) and had all their youthful cheating, vindictive bull**** out of the way before I was born (oldest of three).
Honestly, I remember my dad walking out once after an argument when I was 12 or so, and he came back early the next morning with flowers and an apology.
