We received and have accepted an offer on our old house in Springfield, IL that's been draining us for $1600 a month for the last sixteen months (we moved to the Twin Cities and bought another house in March 2007).

Yeah...we're pretty happy. It sucks that it's going to force us to drain our savings to cover closing, but it's a huge weight off our month to month expenses. I have been on the phone for a total of 4 hours and 27 minutes with cable companies. 2 hours and 39 minutes with Verizon (and counting) and 1 hour and 48 minute with Brighthouse.
However, its led me to reduce my bill by $20/mo and get HBO and Showtime for free and if i switch to Verizon, i will drop my bill (for same services plus more/better channels) by an another 50 bucks.

Woke up this morning and felt like complete and total crap. I've lived in this apartment since July and this is the first time I've gotten sick. Hopefully my immune system can fight this off by tomorrow morning. I don't have time to get sick on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays.

This isn't gonna be like that news story I heard out of Florida is it? Parents bought their 6 yr old son (yipes!) a cell phone. Anyways, cell phone got a mobile alert thingie with a porno clip on it.
The father went on to say how it was "porn at its best" and how cool it was then later on says "we try to protect our kids from these kind of things! How could this happen?!"
Talk about mixed emotions.
