When that's done, I need to start working on a 5-7 page paper that is due at 10am on Weds.

And then when that's done I need to study for a test on Thursday.

At least when that is done I get to go home for spring break, but I am not looking forward to this week. And it wasn't even a good enough weekend to be satisfied right now.
    I'm with you dog.

After this terrible week of tests, I am rewarded with a week of Metal Gear 4, disco dancing, and possibly a trip to Boston with my homies.

Now, normally I wouldn't be excited about going into the heart of terrible accents, but on Friday I met this ho from up there, but experienced one of the most vicious ****blocks of all time. She was a nice little thing and I really liked her.

Nothin' wrong with Boston, my man.

Stop by Worcester and you'll never hate the Boston accent again. You'll be too focused on wanting to kill everyone with a Worcester accent.

But yeah...once Thursday is over I have one class Friday morning, then I have a full weekend alone in my house, and then the following week to just sit around, catch up on sleep, do some reading, play some video games and do absolutely nothing. Can't wait.

So last night on Netflix 360 my wife and I watched The Business of Being Born a documentary on the farce that is our healthcare system as it pertains to child birth. It made me grateful we are using the hospital we are and disgusted with doctors as a whole. Of countries with at least 400,000 births we have the highest infant mortality rate and the second highest in the developed world. It went into how they basically force medication on mothers to speed up delivery because of the fastfood restaurant approach hospitals take with child birth. It also inspired me to author an article on why the medical malpractice standard in this area of the law should change to that of an international standard instead of the regionalized one that we follow today that basically allows malpractice and endangering the child as a norm.

              LOL yep Buffalo Bill Cody

Man I was listening to a great episode of coast to coast AM as they had Neil Degrasse Tyson as guest. The stupid radio station here in Toronto cuts it off right smack dab in the middle of the show because of DST! ARGH! I had to find the show on another station but the reception was so bad that I only listened to another half hour.

                That's not even remotely true.

I don't know how many states have 400,000 births per year, but India and China would clearly have more births than us, and their infant mortality rates are 9 and 4 times ours respectively.

In fact, of populations, you'd have to go to the 10th most populated state (Japan) to find a state with a lower infant mortality rate (and all aside Russia range from 4-18 times ours).

Out of the developed world, of which India and China do not count as much as they'd like to pretend, we are pathetic on a global scale.

                          1. You didn't say anything about the developed world in the part that I quoted. China and India certainly have more than 400,000 births.

                          2. I believe that aside from Canada, we're probably the only "developed state" that isn't a nation state. We have numerous issues that most of the states ahead of us don't have to deal with, primarily military spending, minorities, drugs, illegal immigrants, and the burden of awesomeness.

                          3. "Out of the developed world...on a global scale" is a joke. As far as I know, the developed world is Western-Central Europe plus Canada, the US, Australia, and Japan with occasionally South Korea, Hong Kong, and a few others thrown in.
