I've still got movies that I recorded over a year ago and have yet to watch.

I love having 500 GB on my DVR.

Boston College vs. Duke in JJ Reddicks senior year. Also a Duke/Maryland game where JJ hit a 3 from about 6 ft. beyond the 3pt. line. The crowd was going nuts, Duke got into their offense, passed to JJ and he just put it up...nothing but net. It's like someone hit the mute button on the crowd...nothing but jaws on the floor.

Something from 2006, it's a Stanford football game that's been left on the recording because my dad is supposed to take the shots with my sister in it (she's a cheerleader) and put it on a DVD. He still hasn't gotten around to it, and it's 210 HD minutes.

No wonder ours fills up all of the time and my mom won't let my movies record, not with her scheduled recordings of Jeopardy, Desperate Housewives, 90210, and Grey's Anatomy filling up the DVR.

Anyway, my dad "refuses to erase it" because he still has yet to put the stuff on a DVD.

I haven't watched it yet because I just haven't had time to sit down for 2 hours and read the subtitles.

                      Bah!

Do DVR programs delete after a certain amount of time? Major downer. I had so many great games I had gone to on there, and now I check and my oldest DVR'd program is a Metalocalypse episode from '08.

Damn, that means I lost Brad Smith in the Independence Bowl. Most incredible solo football performance I've ever seen in person.

I don't have a DVR. I thought about getting one, but it's just not worth it IMO. When I want to record something, I just use to good 'ole TV tape recorder on the trusty 'ole VHS tapes! The quality isn't very good and the sound is a bit muffled, but it beats paying for a DVR.

I can watch all the TV shows I want over the internet, so there's no need to record those.

That said, the oldest thing I have left on my recording tapes right now is probably the 2008 West Virginia/Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl recorded in SLP (Better quality than SP, but it doesn't last as long).
