Re: Man enough with everything being "the greatest of all time"

I say this all the time when watching sports. Every announcer has a need to say this was the best he's ever seen. Its very prevalent in college football where every player on the field seems to be "one of the best, if not the best in college football" Really? The back up CB for SMU is?

It drives me nuts. You hear it all over the place. That was the best move ever. Really? Its just people trying to make a statement and they cant do it any other way than to proclaim whatever player or item they are watching as the best ever.

Until I found out she was lip syncing, I was considering Jennifer Hudson's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner the greatest of time. Now it's just a great rendition.

where did you see this? (not doubting just curious)

one of the guys I was watching the game with who is a singer said he could tell by the way she was breathing that she was lip syncing...I didn't believe him but I guess I was wrong.

Yeah, both Faith Hill and Jennifer Hudson lip synced.

Moved by Jennifer Hudson's stirring performance of the national anthem? It was prerecorded. Kanye West, Ashlee Simpson, Britney Spears, Madonna, Milli Vanilli: to greater and lesser degrees, they've all been accused of lip-syncing.
