I always hear about the Madden Forums, the NBA Forums, and others, but I'm rarely in those places.

Seems like everyone should just become a baseball fan. We're more civil.
Unless it turns into a Phills vs Mets war.

In all honesty, I guess I've just learned to deal with the bad that comes with the good. This forum has everything, including great OT talk and video game talk, so I'm happy with it. Just try not to let the trolls get to ya.

Unless you're talking about "framerates" and "Lighting Progression."

      j/k

Like I stated before it's a growth thing. It's also natural that the bad posters don't last too long around here before they start breaking rules.

And once someone breaks the rules.....

      Well, you know the rest.

Like everyone has said it's probably just growing pains and while the nba forum has a bad rep i think it has actually improved in some areas recently and the mods seem to crack down pretty fast.

It's a fine line sometimes (and must be a tough job as a mod at times) between someone being passionate about something or simply going overboard. Sometimes there are legitimate, well constructed arguments back and forth that get shut down because it's turned into a "flame war" when i reality it was just heated discussion between two legit posters.

I guess like most things ya just gotta take the good with the bad.

That's been my experience on website forums as well.
