Probably already said, but Bud Crown Black is smooooth.

Anyone else like to drink a couple of beers while reading a great book? Very relaxing, especially since my shoulder won't stop throbbing from surgery.

Any OS'ers had the opportunity to try a Hill Farmstead Brew? There was a write-up in the NYT business section:

      http://www.nytimes.com/2014/01/19/bu...d-edition.html

Beeradvocate reviews seem to back the hype of that article (seemingly all are world-class).....just not sure I'd wanna wait hours for a beer. Maybe I'm wrong

There will be a huge fat tire craze... and then the real beer drinkers will tire of it, but don't turn on New Belgium completely. Ranger is a solid IPA and I think they have another IPA with a little more kick but can't remember the name right now.

At this point I think it's "solid". If you want something not too pricey or out there it's a better option than the Amstel Lights, Sam Adams of the world.

Rampant...it's a damn fine IPA. Now when Surly expands beyond Minnesota and Chicago, you guys will be in for a real treat with Furious and Abrasive.

lol only a hophead would hear of a beer called "Abrasive" and think it could be good. Is that a double IPA or something?

Other than Fat Tire, I haven't had any other New Belgium beers. I'll definitely check out Ranger and Rampant.

Yeah, it's a double IPA. My personal favorite Surly beer is Overrated, but Abrasive and Furious are both very good as well.

Finally had my first can (followed by 4 more) of Dale's Pale Ale last night. Very enjoyable pale ale. The high marks this beer gets are deserved.

Picked up a 12-pack of Alaskan Winter Ale this weekend. Brewed with spruce tips. Very good stuff.
