        Another Great Tasting Beer Thread

Anybody in here do brewery tours? I do some traveling for work so I try to check some out when out of town.

So far I've been to the Miller and Lakefront breweries in Milwaukee. On my way to Victory Brewery in Downington, PA (around Philly).

For some reason I skipped out on going to the Yuengling brewery about a year ago. My friend's lake house is in the area but I was too shot from the previous night's festivities.

And it's probably a sin to be a DE resident and not have been to the Dogfish Head one downstate. Their brewpub in Rehoboth is excellent though.

I like to collect something from each place. Got a picture holding a (totally full) keg over my head at Miller, t-shirt from Lakefront, and plan on getting a nice glass mug from Victory today.

FWIW, Lakefront was the best. Tour guide was hilarious and my buddy and I were the only ones to get the Captain Falcon FALCON PUNCH joke he referenced when bottles aren't filled to their capacity and need to be separated from the line.

About 15-20 minutes from the DE/MD border but don't venture there often. Got any suggestions?

Decided to dive back in to the Nitro series from Sam Adams after hearing founder Jim Koch on the radio last week. Went for the Nitro IPA. I think it's pretty good. I'm not huge in to Nitro beers but this one was good. Totally different sensations when drinking it as it's creamy and smooth.

I certainly like it more than the Nitro White Ale they make.

Coincidentally, yesterday I tried the guiness nitro ipa and it was definitely different. Extremely smooth. Felt like I was drinking a boddingtons with a little guiness after taste

Just had a couple of Bottom Feeder's in Annapolis, MD for a wedding reception. Belgian/blonde ale. 4.7% abv I believe? Damn good. Product of RAR Brewery out of Cambridge, MD.

MD seems to be a hotbed of breweries. I'll have to venture out more often.

                            Re: nitro

I've had a couple now and it's just not for me I think. My last one sealed it, just not the feeling I wanted from the beer I was drinking. Definitely creamier, smooth like a Guiness but I dunno, not for me.

I feel pretty fortunate as far as the local selection we have here.

How's Annapolis treating you? I'll be down there for a graduation party tomorrow night. At least the weather right now, while hot, is better for enjoying what Annapolis has to offer.

Hot, but not oppressively. We had a nice shaded outdoor area of a restaurant right by the courthouse. The town is beautiful, wasn't expecting that.
