Latreasa Goodman, 27, was arrested and charged with misusing 911 after calling the emergency line three times to report that McDonalds was out of Chicken McNuggets and...to make matters worse.....they wanted to give her a McDouble.
According to the Fort Pierce Police Department, Goodman said to the 911 operator, "This is an emergency, if I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one, this is an emergency!"
The out-of-Chicken-McNuggets store in question is the McDonalds located at 615 North US 1 in Fort Pierce.

Well they did take her money and not give her what she ordered. If they refused to give the money back that is a problem, and like the BK lemonade guy this is a case of someone calling 911 because they likely don't know the local police number.

I would have been a little upset too if they didn't want to refund my money. Calling 911 multiple times, probably not, but still...

this is a case of someone calling 911 because they likely don't know the local police number.

Exactly. When I was in a minor accident, I called 911 and axed for my local police.

As best as I can tell, the lady in this story was a victim of fraud with a possibility of strong arm robbery which is a police matter.

See these are the stories that shows the US going to hell. Here this lady got her money and haven't delivered the product. That right there is a POLICE MATTER. What, she's just supposed to go "oh well you got me , I got beat.". They gave her a McDouble. So what. Supposed she doesn't eat beef for religious or medical or just I DON'T WANT ANY BEEF TODAY reasons. Just like the other case if she would have beat the girls head in and took her money the first thing the police would have said is "She should have called us". Guess what, that argument is looking mighty thin after these two incidents.

And calling her "local police" number is crazy. Most people think when you call 911 you ARE calling your local police. And whats with the police force? They too cheap to get a system to transfer a call? I mean what the hell is the police here for? *looks in mirror* oh I forgot.

Wow, when I read the title of this thread and laughed and assumed the woman was crazy, but after actually reading the story, looks like they really hit her with the ookie doke. Poor lady. Lord knows how much I love nuggets, so I feel her pain.

The McDonalds that I go to always tries to pull that bs. Instead of just saying, "we;re out of that item",they'll take your money and then at the last minute tell you they don't have part of what you ordered and attempt to pawn something else off on you.
