I love how one person thinks he can speak for an entire student body.

Anyone who's watched the previous pranks can tell that it's real.

Let's see if Cebby actually goes back on one thing he said incorrectly...

I thought it was hilarious and Amir seems a little flamboyant so his prance around the court appeared genuine. Looked 100% legit to me and it was well done.

I'm sorry. This was 100% real.

I also apologize to the kid who thought he got the offer from Cal. That was a very mean prank.

Not only that, but when the guy asked him what he was gonna do with the money, it took him a little to come up with something to say, and even then all he said was "I don't know"...looked genuinely lost for words. You'd think if it was set up he would've said something stupid/funny.

            Hmm I sense some sarcasm.

Cebby we just don't get what part you think was fake.

Are you saying that Amir knew what was about to happen and this entire thing is a hoax? Amir was just putting on an act to go along with the "prank"?

And how does pretty much everyone on campus know it was fake?

Saw this awhile back.. first reaction was it's staged.

The Yankee stadium stunt was fake as well.

If you can't see it, well that's too bad for you.

They would go along with it so they could get hits on their stupid website.

Real or fake, it was pretty entertaining. If it was fake, Amir sure can act. If it was real, Amir sure got hit back. I was wondering what happened to that relationship after the Yankee game. Clearly the female took the joke a bit too hard.

You saw it awhile back? It just happened this week.

I hardly doubt collegehumor.com is struggling for web hits as it's a pretty well known site.

Yeah I saw it like 2 or 3 days ago, sorry I exaggerate a lot LOL. When it comes to this sort of stuff, I consider 2-3 days old or "awhile back".

The point about getting hits was an answer as to why they would play along with the pranks.

I get a weird feeling watching both vids, fishy.

Re: Remeber the marriage proposal prank at Yankee stadium?

A few people I know that go to MD said they thought it was real and they told me quite a few people there thought it was real too.

I doubt EVERYONE on campus knew it was fake but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a significant number of people that did think it was.

Re: Remeber the marriage proposal prank at Yankee stadium?

None of the Prank Wars are fake... It wouldn't make any sense...

These guys have a TV show on MTV - they don't need any more publicity. What would they gain from staging this?

And anyway, this Prank War has been going for like two years, and the first few were pretty tame. It's obvious if you watch them all that they've escalated to the point of being epic.

If you really think these are fake, you're just being arbitrarily cynical. There's no reason for them to stage this.... now the moon landing on the other hand....

If you watch the ones where Amir thinks he's going to be on Human Giant and Streeter's comedy routine, you'll see that they're real. Amir was on the verge of tears at the Human Giant prank, and Streeter got pissed and stormed out of the comedy club when that went down.

The only pranks I claimed were fake were Yankees and this one.

There's a movement of people out there who agree with me across other message boards.

Again, why would they stage these pranks? There's really no reason that they should go through all the trouble. They get plenty of hits from elsewhere, including a weekly CollegeHumor show on MTV.

It's pretty unlikely that they'd make themselves look like idiots just to get hits when they're already on cable TV and have hundreds of contributions daily... Just saying...

I understand where you're comin from.

I'm just saying that those two pranks seemed fishy, and that there's a number of other people across the interwebz that are with me. Especially this one.. it just seemed like something was up.
