Usually on my PC the clock changes at 1 AM but I usually change all my clocks before then in case I fall asleep earlier then that time.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
I've never really understood DST. I honestly don't even know what time it's supposed to be right now... I guess 8:20 since the Simpsons are on, but my computer still says 7:20.
Oh well, I'll figure it out tomorrow when I'm either late or early to school tomorrow.IT'S GREAT TO BEA MIAMI HURRICANE"At exactly which point do we start to realizeThat a life without knowledge is death in disguise?"Comment

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
I think it was enacted to help save energy, i.e., we don't have to stick lights on until later. But, actually it's heating and cooling element devices that call for more energy use that lights.
This is why I set my refrigerator ahead one hour.Comment

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
I'm pretty sure it was mostly created as a way for farmers to maximize the amount of sunlight during the the latter half of the year...could be wrong though.Comment

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
Well, I was wrong.
From Wikipedia-
The practice is controversial.[2] Adding daylight to afternoons benefits retailing, sports, and other activities that exploit sunlight after working hours,[3] but causes problems for farming, entertainment and other occupations tied to the sun.[4][5] Traffic fatalities are reduced when there is extra afternoon daylight;[6] its effect on health and crime is less clear. Although an early goal of DST was to reduce evening usage of incandescent lighting, formerly a primary use of electricity,[7] modern heating and cooling usage patterns differ greatly, and research about how DST currently affects energy use is limited and often contradictory.[8]Comment

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
I wasn't even aware that we had a time change. I was sitting at home on Sunday, and I happened to look out the window about 6:30 and wondering how come it wasn't getting dark.Comment

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
Is it just me or does it seem to get darker way more than an hour later??
I mean, before the time change it seemed to get dark around 5:50-6:00. Now its not getting dark til like 7:30-7:45Comment

Re: Daylight Savings Time Question
It changes naturally also, maybe it started creeping towards getting dark at 6:30 before dst and you just didn't really notice it.WUSTLComment
