    Better Deal: Subway 5-Dollar Footlong vs. Cici's Pizza Buffet?

    I just had a 5-Dollar Footlong, but I've been seeing Cici's commercials a lot, and they have me craving it. They're essentially the same price (Cici's Pizza Buffet is 5 bucks + tax, same as 5-Dollar Footlong).

    But it got me thinking...

    In terms of quality of product received, amount of product received, practicality, etc., which is the better deal?


    Now, I know Subway is MUCH more accessible than Cici's (Subway has way more restaurants), but please try not to take that into account when voting. Just the product and the restaurant itself, not the accessibility of the product and restaurant... unless you feel Cici's or Subways, in general, are built in terrible locations or something.

      CiCi's and it's not even close.

      1. It's a buffet so you clearly get more food

      2. Sweet tea>no sweet tea

      3. Free desert>>>>>no free desert. Those thin brownie things are clutch and a half

      4. Better food

      5. It doesn't smell bad. Subways have a smell.

      6. No change (at least it used to come out to exactly $5.99)

      At Auburn, I would do the Longhorn and kill some CiCi's all the time. So delicious.

          I remember CiCi's was 2.99 when I was in college during the 90's. That was the spot!

                      You can get all kinds of stuff on it to fill you up. I love the meatball subs. You get about 12 meatballs on it and lots of sauce. Plus you can add as much of the extra stuff as you want.

                      I love CiCis, but the quality of pizza has gone down. The only real good thing there is the CINNAMON ROLLS!!

                          I didn't realize that Cici's isn't in the western part of the country...

                              The only time I've ever eaten at a Cici's was in Orlando and it was disgusting. But as far as I know that was an exception to the rule, so in general their deal easily trumps Subway's $5 footlong deal, but if that Cici's was indicative of the quality of all Cici's, then Subway takes this hands down.

                                      Yeah...Cici's was ok when I went there, but it's generic pizza that's not that great for you...I'd rather eat something healthier at Subway personally, but if you want to eat a ton Cici's is your thing.

                                          Lets see..Cici's you can get far more food. Subway you dont get as much but in terms of taste Subway is so much better.

                                              Personally, neither.

                                              I used to go to CiCi's all the time, but it has gone downhill in terms of taste imo. Never really been a fan of sandwiches either, so neither.

                                                  Cicis is almost 6 dollars with tax and that is only if you get the water not soft drink. But Cicis still wins out because it is a buffet and you can eat all you want!

                                                      I think Subway needs to do a better job of advertising some of their other stuff. I know they want to keep their "healthy" image, but some of their best stuff is stuff like the meatball sub, the chicken and bacon sub ect ect. Not saying you do, but most people probably think all they have is deli type, turkey/ham/roast beef ect sandwiches.
