Dude is a midget. Seriously. He's maybe 5'3".
But he's rich as hell. He was in Birmingham for his racing team he owns that was racing out at the Barber Sports Racetrack here.
Funny guy though. And yes...there was nakedness in his VIP room at my club...couple of chicks he brought. Good show.AUBURN TIGERS

I had a class with Deron Williams (and a few other players who are no longer in the NBA) when I attended U of I. I hooped with him, Luther Head and Dee Brown a few times.
I used to work at O'Hare International Airport, and I ran into a lot of celebs there including Michael Jordan's mother, Lionel Richie, Mikhail Gorbachev, Jerry Springer, and Fred Williamson.
I also met Michael Jordan's ex-wife when I was in HS.Comment

Shot hoops with Corey Maggette at Fenwick High School. It was a tournament for 8th graders through freshmen or something like that and he was a ref. That name just kind of stuck with me and a year later after Duke when I saw him getting drafted by the Magic, I was like wow.Comment

Re: what famous people have you met???????
saw Ron Artest last night at this basketball court in this really rich gated community.
His little kid came out to play with us, Ron just stayed in his SUV the whole time though haha.
This was around 11pm after the Rockets and Clippers gameComment

Re: what famous people have you met???????
I've met a handful of famous people over the years......all true stories
I met and had a brief conversation with Dan Hampton of Da Bears while standing at a neighboring urinal in the Chicago Midway airportLOL
I sat in a church pew behind Johnny Cash & June Carter Cash at my aunt's church in Nashville. After church, me and my family spent about 30 minutes talking to them.
About 7 years ago, I met Jay Leno while I was in LA visiting a lady that I met over the internet. She used to work as a production assistant on his show and took me back to meet him after the show taped.
There's been a few other less notable people as well.XBL Gamertag: hoos4974

I saw Jalen Rose in Santa Monica at the third st promenade. I didn't want to bother him since he was with his woman.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

Re: what famous people have you met???????
Never tried to list before, should be interesting:
Mario Lemieux
Arnold Palmer
Sylvester Stallone
Joe Theisman
Jesper Parnevik
Davis Love
And a bunch of other pro golfers because I caddied at rather ritzy course (Laurel Valley Golf Club) in my hometown during the summer while I was in college. Good money too, about $80 to $120 in for every round, which was usually 5-6 times a week. Only negative was the caddie master expected us to work every day, so a day off was scarce...
The majority of the Pirates roster from 2002 season and some other major leaguers -- again I was working there. Of course, it's quite debatable if any of the Pirates qualify as "famous"... The Big Show threw out the first pitch for a game (why? no idea) and I got to shake his hand, which was quite mind-boggling. He was kind of funny, but in a very blunt, terse way...
A lot of former Steelers (late 80s/early 90s), including "Mean" Joe Greene. I grew up not far from where they have training camp, so we'd go to he annual Steelers/Redskins scrimmage. Beforehand they'd let kids go on the field to get autographs from the players...
When Barkley was playing for Phoenix, my Dad had to go out there for business. My Mom & I got to tag along and at the Phoenix airport, I noticed a large, round, mound of rebound standing next to us at the gate counter. He had a big straw golf hat on, but since I was a good bit shorter than him I looked right up and recognized him. He said, "hey kid" and went about his business...
I used to deliver beer for a distributor, mostly to bars. I arrived too early for a delivery one day, so I went to eat breakfast at nearby Tom's Diner. Came to find out I sat next to & talked with Brad Renfro for about five minutes. He was filming 10th & Wolf (the diner was their hangout in the movie) at the time. Never mentioned anything about it when we talked, we just shot the breeze. The waitress told me who he was...
Probably one or two more I can't think of right now...Comment

Re: what famous people have you met???????
True story I hung out with Fred Savage and his little brother in Aruba about 4 years ago.
At the time I was working in Aruba (I worked there for almost 2 years) and he was staying in the same hotel as me.
I was setting in the hotel bar with my boss when Fred and his brother Ben (Boy Meets World) set next to us, we where the only people at the bar at the time. Anyway it was a Friday and we had just gotten off work and they asked us where to go that night with their girlfriends. I gave them a few options and they asked me and my boss to go with them. My boss who is much older then me said he was heading up to his room for the night so I went with them.
I took them to 3 or 4 different clubs/bars and we had a blast, Fred paid for everything all night. He was really a pretty cool guy, he kept sending girls my way all night. He even told a few girls on spring break from Texas that I was a movie producer!! lol
By the way Fred had just gotten married the year before, he wife was also really nice. She was nothing special as far as looks go tho. As for Ben he had a girl with him on the trip too. He kept saying they were just really good friends and she was drop dead gorgeous!
I hung out with them 3 diffent days altogether including one night when just us 3 hung out at a very small dance club. The women/girls were all over them all night long. Like I said this was spring break season so there were young girls everywhere.Last edited by jake44np; 03-31-2009, 11:36 AM.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: what famous people have you met???????
I've met many celebrities, mostly from NHL.
I'd post them all but that would take too much time, and really, who cares? But I will post about my coolest celebrity meeting. It was about a year ago and I was working with Demi Lovato (hey I guess she's a celebrity too now lol.) and her producer. We had just finished tracking and I went out to get some coffee (I'm an addict).
As I'm walking out of my studio, heading for the elevator, I see John Mayer coming out of another room going for the same elevator. I introduced myself (always gotta make new contacts in the music business) and we spoke for a little while, until we went our own ways. Though, he did invite me into a few sessions after our visit, and being a twenty-two year old at the time, I almost pissed my pants. Not only is he an awesome dude, but that meeting gave me such a inspirational boost that now (about a year later) I'm in the process of tracking my own material and touring (this summer).
Oh and I met Jean Claude Van Damme too... LOL.Comment
