Made it on a national news online story and it freaked me out. Friends who aren't on twitter were texting me asking me what twitter name I had. The hate messages I received made it an easy decision to delete my account.

All I said was that Roddy White & Victor Cruz were wrong for their comments.

The voice of reason has no place in media, social media, or in general.

Wow, that is crazy NDAlum. You know you can just set your twitter to private/protected though so that way only people you approve can see your tweets. Also, I thought I remembered you earlier saying your job prevented you from having a twitter? Or have you since changed jobs (I think I remember you saying you changed jobs, but I'm not certain).

I was ignorant and didn't lock my tweets. The tweet was reasonable and nothing negative. Still people sent nasty things because my account wasn't hidden. I don't want to have anything jeopardize my job. It takes one tweet to hurt it.

When I got that text from a friend I just had to delete it. I just can't voice public opinion to show bias or anything. I didn't do that so I'm good.

Well, either protect your account or simply make a twitter name where it isn't so obvious that it is you to the public world. Or you can do what other people do and write this is my personal account, my views our my own blah blah blah
