Are you a teacher? Any idea how the teaching front is in North Texas and how much teachers generally make there?

No, I'm about to start my final year of college then after that I will start teaching. I haven't heard of a school district around here that isn't looking for teachers (other than Dallas ISD). Most high school teachers around here start out in the 40K-45K range. Each school district posts their salary scale on their website.

I am still contracted to work a 180 day contract, so I make may Pay Diem in the summer Which is at $275 a day. And still have about 40 days off a year. Yep I love my job! Right now I have my schedule set up like this. Work 4 weeks off 1 week, work 3 weeks off 1 week. Work 4 weeks off 2 weeks. And so on for the year!
Sounds great. How'd you get into that? What kind of education do you have? Could you give me a estimate of your salary, then? My gf works fora district in Orange County and makes over 50k a year and it's only her 3rd year.

I work for the County of Education. I teach at J. hall. It is really a sweet teaching job, but you have to be a great facilitator and a great classroom manger. I make about $60 G a year. Including the summer. I work 12 months, but have a lot of weeks off.

Plus you obviously don't teach spelling or grammar, so that's one more win, right?

And teaching is not considered a part-time job, no clue where you are getting that from.

My wife works 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. That's just her contracted hours, she's there usually 7:30 - 4:30, on top of the hours she puts in at nights and weekends.

Actually I teach grammar. It is here I don't use it. Also I said I meant to say not full time. It is consider a 3/4 job. And instead of putting me down slick, you might want to try reading everything I wrote, but then again reading has never been your strong point. But put downs are.

That is different here; we work 8 to 3. Maybe other states are different.

Hey Scott here is your first reading lesson. See where I said I made a mistake about part time.

Don't quit your day job slick. On another note, how is being a dad going? You going to have anymore?

Scotty is like my little brother. Talks all that ****, but I still can kick his ***!

It is all good though. I am not going to change my grammar writings and Scotty will always be there with the slick put downs. Isn't that right Mr. blue shirt! Also on a serious not though. Scott do you like it when people call you Scotty? I'm OK with it to a point. But sometimes it is a little funny.
