No, I'm about to start my final year of college then after that I will start teaching. I haven't heard of a school district around here that isn't looking for teachers (other than Dallas ISD). Most high school teachers around here start out in the 40K-45K range. Each school district posts their salary scale on their website.

Re: All you Teacher's out there
You can't beat my teaching job. No parents, kids get out of hand, send them back to their room. No take home work. You can't, because you can't take the kids papers home. So we have a lot of prep time in the day to get the work corrected. And we make more money then other teachers, becasue we work the summer. I am still contracted to work a 180 day contract, so I make may Pay Diem in the summer Which is at $275 a day. And still have about 40 days off a year. Yep I love my job! Right now I have my schedule set up like this. Work 4 weeks off 1 week, work 3 weeks off 1 week. Work 4 weeks off 2 weeks. And so on for the year!Comment

I work for the County of Education. I teach at J. hall. It is really a sweet teaching job, but you have to be a great facilitator and a great classroom manger. I make about $60 G a year. Including the summer. I work 12 months, but have a lot of weeks off.Comment

And teaching is not considered a part-time job, no clue where you are getting that from.
My wife works 8:00 to 4:00 Monday through Friday. That's just her contracted hours, she's there usually 7:30 - 4:30, on top of the hours she puts in at nights and weekends.Comment

Actually I teach grammar. It is here I don't use it. Also I said I meant to say not full time. It is consider a 3/4 job. And instead of putting me down slick, you might want to try reading everything I wrote, but then again reading has never been your strong point. But put downs are.Comment

Re: All you Teacher's out there
Scotty is like my little brother. Talks all that ****, but I still can kick his ***!
It is all good though. I am not going to change my grammar writings and Scotty will always be there with the slick put downs. Isn't that right Mr. blue shirt! Also on a serious not though. Scott do you like it when people call you Scotty? I'm OK with it to a point. But sometimes it is a little funny.
