I fractured my right clavicle. I waited 2 or 3 days before I even went to the hospital.
Have you ever broken any bones?

Re: Have you ever broken any bones?

Broke my arm and nose when I was younger. Also tore my MCL my Sr. year of high school.

I'd say the broken nose was the worst. I had to have 2 surgeries on it. I probably need a third as my septum is still a bit deviated and it makes it hard to breath at times. From the outside it looks straight, but the inside must still be a mess!Comment

Re: Have you ever broken any bones?

No broken bones for me (Knock on wood). My roommate and I had this conversation about 2 months ago and shortly after that, he broke his pinky playing basketball (his first ever real injury). Then I rolled my ankle. Prior to that, the worst injury I ever had was a shoulder injury playing football. It wasn't dislocated. I got X-Rays and the doctor said they couldn't find anything wrong with it although I couldn't raise my left arm up higher than 90 degrees without pain.

This year has been the worst for me with injuries though. Hopefully it ends soon. I messed up my thumb playing basketball (on my shooting hand ), rolled my ankle, and recently tweaked my hamstring. Sigh...I need time off. ), rolled my ankle, and recently tweaked my hamstring. Sigh...I need time off.

Re: Have you ever broken any bones?

Just search something like Bledsoe Ultimate Ankle and you should be able to pull up their website. Being an athletic brace I'd assume it to be fairly expensive.Comment

Re: Have you ever broken any bones?

I was a reckless little kid, I broke both arms before age of 6... separate times.

Too young to remember the pain I experienced.

And while playing an AAU baseball game at 12, I slid into a base late while during a pickle and broke my ankle.

Remember how out of shape I became after keeping off my foot for so long. That falls football conditioning was hell for me.Comment

I play college football so the trainer gave it to me to wear during the season and I returned it afterwards just like the knee braces all offensive linemen here wear.Comment

Re: Have you ever broken any bones?

Both my "breaks" involve basketball, which I have "retired" from unofficially.

The first was when I broke my nose playing church league basketball in high school. Guy's head hit my nose and the blood started flowing. The problem was that we only had 5 players that night, so I sucked it up & finished the game. I went home that night and asked my Mom if I need to go to the hospital (she's an RN) and she said no, it's not broken. It was.

The other was a broken "chipped" knuckle on my right hand ring finger after an unexpected fastball pass that jammed and broke it. I couldn't bend that thing for weeks and weeks. Very painful and I did go to the doctor, but basically was told it had to heal naturally. I was only on the court to shoot 3's, how did I get so many injuries? PSN: Koolie_G PSN: Koolie_G

Stress fracture in right foot. It wasn't terrible, just a pop and some intense throbbing for a couple hours.

I've had my share of injuries, just not broken bones.Comment

I think somewhere between 8-10 with half of those being fingers. Wrist, arm and ankle were painful as **** though."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

I broke my penis once in a freak accident.

Now I can crack it like a knuckle. Wait, what?

Now just substitute penis with wrist and you have a real story. What if you could crack your d!ck like a knuckle though...HmmmmmI won't ask for Christmas or birthday gifts if you subscribe to the Operation Sports Newsletter (Not Just Another Roster Update).
