i understand that the law is the law... and by all means it should be followed.. but i could have gotten a slap on the wrist for the fact that im from a state where a lawlike this isnt in effect (to my knowledge) and tha fact that i wasnt the only one in the lane.. heck, i'd be cool with it if i was just zipping by dangerously... 2 wrongsdont make a right but cut me some slack

Either way, Unless I cannot get over, I slow down for emergency vehicles. My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: I was pulled over by Central PA State Troopers today...
yeah- i always change lanes anyways if anybody is in the breakdown lane- doesnt have to be a cop. Ive done this ever since i almost got killed by someone after my car broke down.
It is a law now in mass. Good law. If you cant safely change, you should at least slow down.Comment

Re: I was pulled over by Central PA State Troopers today...
i was not cited for speeding.. excessive or aggressive driving.. i was not bobbing and weaving in and out of lanes.. nor was i crossing over into lanesi wasnt supposed to be in...
Imagine my surprise to what the officer responded with when I politely asked 'Did i do something wrong?'
'You remained in the right lane'
WHAT??? I should have spit on his eyeball right then and there... i was cited because i followed the flow of traffic and didnt change lanes because another troper had someone pulled over ahead of me... r u serious? of all things to pull someone over for... the least he could hae done was gave me a slap on the wrist being that im from NY and never heard of this law nor seen it enforced
Now I'm looking at 85 to 200 bucks because this guy had to work on memorial day morning. I want to fight this but cant see myself driving 200 miles just to fight it... ugh... *spits on all law enforcement*

What's ironic, here in Arizona is that people tend to always slow down when people pull over for accidents so they can see the damage and it causes more accidents.
You'll see a 7 car pile up that's been built up over an hour in 3 different accidents. Terrible drivers here, because its a mix of all types of drivers from all over the country.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: I was pulled over by Central PA State Troopers today...
Do you know how many Police, Fire and EMS workers are hit every year by vehicles going down interstates and highways? Not only is it the law its more or less common sense. Give the guys some room to work. Just because you didn't know it was the law doesn't mean you should get a warning. Also, I would have liked to see you spit in his eyeball. He would have dragged you out of the car so quick you wouldn't have even known what hit you.Comment

The only thing that sucks is you not being aware of the law, but that's not going to be a very good defense. I'm sure you much rather find out from another OS poster than getting the ticket yourself, but that's life.
The law is 100% necessary in my opinion.Comment

Re: I was pulled over by Central PA State Troopers today...
Eh I'm over it now... I was angry before but looking back I'm like "lol"
I don't even know how much this ticket is going to cost because it's a "sliding" something... couldn't hear him much due to the cars driving by in a lane they weren't supposed to be in because I was pulled over
Def. not worth the trouble of driving all the way back though, i'll just pay whatever and stfuhttp://www.myspace.com/phillthegenesis

I would try to prove for the distance of the road you were on there were no signs alluding to this law.Comment
