I would have to go with a DD-7. Slight delay can sort of emulate reverb, and you can even 'almost' loop with that pedal. Has a good delay length.

I don't own one but I've played one before and I can hands down say that if I could only have one pedal it would be a Line 6 DL4 delayMy latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: The OS Guitarists thread
Sorry it took me so long to get something up and running, YouTube is messing with me a lot, and it's not letting me have all my videos show.
I have 3 up right now, "Blues Improvisation" which is an improv over a backing track I found on YouTube. "So Alone" was written in 2009, after my grandfather passed away, leaving me officially without any grandparents, so that was a therapy improv of sorts. "Summer Rain" is pretty, well, boring, but it was more for the ambient feel of making weird parts work together in ways with a light lead improv over it.
Everything but the backing track to the Blues Improv is an original work. Used some drum loops from Garageband, and did my best to make the listener forger it was a looping track. Many covers, and actual VIDEO coming soon, but I at least wanted to get up and running. Thanks for any listeners, and feel free to critique.

Re: The OS Guitarists thread
So, I ordered this from Amazon:
I can't wait. I've been wanting to learn the whys to music theory, but all I've been able to find are the "hows" or "do this" kind of attitude. Plus, I really want to learn how to read sheet music.

Re: The OS Guitarists thread
I've owned a guitar for over 5 years now and honestly, tonight was the first time I've ever made any actual progress.
Not only did I really learn E, A, and D chords but got pretty seamless in the progression between all three. While that may not seem big to most, for someone who has trouble with learning guitar while also getting incredibly frustrated quickly, this is big for me.

I don't have any good general tips, as I did it the old fashioned way. Just learned by ear. For faster results, don't do that lol.Comment

Re: The OS Guitarists thread
I have an older Mac from 2004, Pro Tools, great Yorkville monitor speakers and an Mbox. Its fine for my purposes but I do wish for a beefier workstation so I can play around with more effects, tracks etc. Mainly I've just used it in the last few years to record my practise of classical stuff (single tracks, single takes) to evaluate where I was at.
Now that my degree is almost done I'm keen to really explore new ideas and to get back into writing.
Also here is a clip from the band that I was in before I went off to university. We broke up in 2005 but have done a few shows here and there since then. To be clear this wasn't my music, the lead singer wrote all of the songs and we just composed our own parts. Its not the kind of stuff I would write but it was great fun and we did okay for ourselves.

Jam along to The Final Cut (if you feel like tuning down half a step, it's real easy)

it's repetitive (and not the "real way" to play it), but it will give you that fun "i just played with a song!" fist pump.Comment
