Re: Who Has the Best Job in Sports?

    I'm going with Michael Buffer.

He gets paid to say little more than "Let's Get Ready to Rumble" at boxing/wrestling events, plus I imagine he gets pretty solid seats at said events and expenses paid. No dealing with personalities on the day-to-day, no real physical work, no coaching stubborn kids.............

Oh, and his trademark LGRTR phrase has netted him millions, so I'm sure he's well paid.

Marbury...He is under this weird concept he is still good at basketball. And his contract was insane...And all he did is have to sit on the bench. Oh yeah get you're starburys today and you can play like him 8 years ago. Wooopie

I don't get these sport teams...Even last year, Green Bay offered Favre $20mil to simply go away and retire. Why don't they call me - I'd offer a discount and accept with only $5 mil.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

haha I know. How nice is that to be paid by someone to leave your job and enjoy the rest of your life with millions of dollars? I wonder if we could go to Green Bay and sit on the 50 yard line at Lambeau until they pay us to leave.

                      A punter.

Virtually no stress (unlike a placekicker), you hardly ever get hit so your body will be fine after you retire, and practice has to be easy as hell.

Re: Who Has the Best Job in Sports?

I have a friend that is the visiting clubhouse attendant for the Oakland A's. So on gameday, he gets there when the visiting team gets to the stadium. He does clubhouse stuff (runs errands, lays out the food, gets gum, etc.) then during the game he gets to be the visitors' bat boy.

Each home series he gets to wear the opposing team's away uniform. They don't let him keep the jersey, but he gets to keep the hat, pants and socks. And he gets paid (minimum wage) but he gets tips from the players.

Sounds pretty chill to me. But its not a "career". Still jealous of him though!

NFL Players. They only have to travel at least 8 times a year for regular season games. They are home every day except for weekends on the road. They get paid as much as other athletes.

You're also damn near guaranteed to be dead or barely able to walk by the time you're 50.
