Wow, care to elaborate on how that works?

It seems like if I send the item he can cancel the payment and get it for free.

      Any advice?
I haven't sold on Ebay for a few months, so something might have changed. But Paypal has been holding larger sales (over $50?) until the buyer leaves positive feedback. Also, it can be released 3 days (I think) after you provide proof of delivery, and the buyer hasn't left feedback. Something supposedly to help curb fraud.

I've really gotten away from selling stuff on Ebay....between their fees and the paypal fees, and all the hoops you have to jump thru to sell things, it's no longer worth it.

Sell locally and get payment via amazon gift card or paypal gift. Paypal gift avoids the fees.

Bahnzo's right and it actually has nothing to do with ebay but with paypal ensuring that they don't get hosed.
