I've heard these are by far the best. There are different sets, and I don't even know if you'd necessarily need the amount of tension offered here, but maybe someone who owns them can chime in.

Thanks...those are the ones I had found were the best reviewed as well. I was confused though because if you read the description it makes it sound like the resistance is equal to 127 lbs on per side. When you read the "what you get" section, it looks like the highest resistance is only 30 pounds, which I already have in free weights. Hopefully someone chimes in who has them and can clarify.

Not sure about the lbs per side question but I do know you shouldn't make the mistake of going cheap like i did and spend a little bit more. I went cheap and of the 8 bands I got when I bought the package (off ebay) 3 snapped relatively quickly.

So if you are planning on doing this sort of workout for a while I'd definitely suggesting spending a bit more at the start as you get what you pay for with these things.

if you decide to buy bands, BUY THESE. the 127 pounds per side is if you hook up every tension level at the same time. that is what is nice about the metal d rings and clips. you can put a 30 and a 20 on together and get 50 pounds of resistance and so on. they are the best quality you will find. i have 2 sets and have never had one snap. they also offer no ?'s asked replacement if one snaps so you are covered anyways. trust me these things are the truth when it comes to bands...

I bought this about a year ago. Did it for bout 2 weeks or so and lost ten pounds right off the bat. But i couldn't stay on the diet i'm not use to eating food like that.
I want to start it back up and this time i'm going to try to stick with it. It was not the workouts It was the food i had to eat. I just started to not want to eat so i ended up stopping it. I'm a southern boy.Beans/greens/PORK/FRIED chicken/ fried pork chops/ pretty much everything you would see on a cracker barrel menu is my weekly meals. Plus i don't eat breakfast last time i did was the last time i was on p90x. I don't care for eggs
Its going to be tough but i'm going to try to do it

eating is the key to getting in your best shape, no doubt. my advice is this, use the diet as a guide but just be sensible. i have never used the diets included with these programs, i just try not to go crazy with the eating. also once you get about a month deep in the program it is like a switch flips in your mind. for whatever reason you kinda stay on a healthier eating habit, probably because your subconscious recognizes you are working towards a goal and you just don't want to derail your progress. at least that is how it is for me. just try not to go hardcore on the diet bit right away, gradually ween yourself off some of the really bad stuff and go from there.

After being really good at this for about 5 weeks, I've been really lazy the last week and a half. I'm finding it hard to get motivated to spend an an hour+ on these workouts.

I can not find my book that shows the phases on what workouts to do. I have my diet book but can't seem to find the other book. Is there a site i can get it for. I think i remember the phase 1 workout. Is this right? Also how many weeks did this go before phase 2? 3 or 4 weeks?

I'm not near my own books right now so I can't be 100%, but those workouts look like the right ones for phase 1 "classic".

Each phase is 3 weeks followed by 1 "rest" week. I believe somewhere in the program it is said you can extend any phase if you want, but you shouldn't spend more than 6 weeks on any single phase.

That is Phase 1. You do it for 3 weeks, do a recovery week, and then onto Phase 2.

hell yes! the greens are mostly water so you won't get the amount of calories you'd expect and you will get full. the beans are full of fiber, good for your digestive tract and also very filling. eat all you want!

I definetly have a problem with motivation. I have lost 10 pounds and I am starting week 5. I dont follow the diet but I eliminated all fast food, all fried food, and i have upped my water intake substantially

I'm on Day 13 and I'm already seeing and feeling results. I've also emliminated fast food and fried food from my diet. The only beverages I drink are water, a bit of tea, and a bit of Gatorade. I have to say I love P90X, I feel so much better already.

I'm on Day 4. I bought this program like almost a yr ago and started it then got an infection in my foot and could hardly stand. so i stopped.
and it sat and sat and well you get the picture. I battled with myself, man i spent all this money on this awesome product and do nothing!!!! NO Not me! So i restarted it on the 22nd of August and made a promise to myself, wife, kids that i WILL finish this, maybe keep going who knows
