If i would have used my legs playing baseball i would have gone far. My issues were arm strenght and bat power(from the left side) and the reason was i ddint get the leg strenght into it. 2 years or so afterward i quit playing, it clicked what i had done wrong but to late then.

Left handed pitcher for a D1 school a long time ago. My arm failed me though. I had a coach tell me I would never make it further because I was under 6 foot tall. I was about 5'10". He told me teams just don't want to take a chance on short pitchers because they have arm problems. Maybe he was right cause I had constant elbow and shoulder problems. I can't change how tall I am so I guess my answer would be nothing. My Teams

I think I could've been pretty good at football as a DB at least in high school, had I continued to play. I quit right before the summer ended before my freshman year. What I didn't know was that apparently the coaches sort of liked me from what they had seen(it was a small size though), and asked my brother to try to get me playing again but I was really against going back then. My brother always holds it over my head though, and that probably annoys me more than the fact that I quit.Comment

Oh, I don't have the elite athlete's work ethic either. Maybe if I was better that would have come, but I don't have the drive to spend 24 hours working on getting better.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

I was being scouted at the age of 15 to play college basketball but unfortunately I was involved in a car accident at the same age and had a severe head injury. The doctors told my parents I would not survive the night. I had to have brain surgery which ended my playing and now I am on disability. I know I didnt have what it took to go pro but a free ride through college would have been nice. But had I gotten that free ride would I have met my wife I have now and had my kids which are my life? Everything happens for a reason and I belive that happend for this reason.“Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

If I was at least six feet tall, I'd be playing college football somewhere right now... probably D-2 or D-3. I could have gone to D-3, but I'm 5' 6" and knew that I would not get much playing time other than maybe special teams my last few years.Originally posted by DaImmaculateONeHow many brothers does Sub-zero running around in his clothing? If I would have not been a lazy ***, I may have been able to play pro baseball. I may not have made the Majors, but to even play in the Minors would have been great. I played with a few guys who played Minor league ball, and I asked them if I would have worked harder at it if I could have played, and they have told me that I definitely could have. I was always naturally talented playing baseball, and I thought that my natural ability would just be there without working at it. I was wrong.
It still bothers me to this day. I'm now a project manager at an engineering company, but not very happy with what I do. Even if I didn't make it, if I could have then went into coaching or front office type jobs within the sport, I would be much happier.
Or maybe if I played at the private high school where colleges actually looked at, I probably would have been recruited. But I have no regrets not paying $12,000 a year to go to an all boys school for four years of my life.
I only hope now that, without any professional experience, I can still get into a coaching gig. Only problem is that people look at resumes, not skill sets. It's an unfortunate mishap, but I hope that my time comes and my phone rings (or I can build my way up to it).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

If I knew at 17 what I know at 27, I would have played major college football & baseball. Also I would have challenged Elijah Dukes children out of wedlock record.
But I really wouldnt change anything, because those things really arent important in the grand scheme of things."Good music transcends all physical limits, it's more then something you hear, it's something that you feel, when the author, experience, and passion is real" - Murs (And this is for)Comment

If I was coordinated, could run fast, and didn't have exercise-induced and chemically-induced asthma I might've been something.

Re: Self Reflection Time: "If I Would Have ____; I would Have Made It." (Sports Wise)
Definitely could've played on a state championship (Flight B) high school football team. I played football my freshmen year, but my grades were terrible and I was lazy as all hell and didn't (couldn't) continue with that. I'm a pretty good athlete, but I always felt it was my natural instincts and anticipation on a football field that gave me a bit of an edge when I did play. Looking at the kids who did start at my position (cornerback) in my junior and senior years, I definitely was better then them. Who knows if I would've been able to start though, the coaches were mostly idiots who somehow got kids grades changed and started some players based on who sucked up. So even though that would've been nice, I don't regret not being able to continue on with that. I can sleep at night knowing that I'm better then a few of the clowns who did start on the championship teams.NHL - Philadelphia Flyers
NFL - Buffalo Bills
MLB - Cincinnati Reds
