Just water for me. I work with guys who can't survive without their coffee, Mt. Dew etc... every morning. I'm glad I never got into that habit.

If you shop around you can get them for cheaper. Its still around 2 bucks, but worth it IMO.

The thing is people don't drink coffee...they drink candy with coffee in it. I bet the majority of coffee drinkers out there put at least 500 cals/day into their body through the junk they put in their coffee.

Have sex twice a day (it boosts testosterone levels adding energy) and make sure you get a full night of sleep (the most important thing, sleep debt will build up).

Then like DC said eat a good breakfast. All the energy you could need in the food you eat.

Oh and I'm 24 and have never taken a sip of coffee. I have the option of getting free coffee pretty much anywhere I go, but I don't even want it!
My girlfriend just started work at a coffee shop and told me about how they give free coffee to cops. I never knew that until she told me. Ha.

As for me, I've never been one to need to have sugar or caffeine to have energy. I drink coffee in the morning occasionally, but I just like the taste. I only add about half a spoon of sugar too. As for energy drinks -- had one once, tasted like liquid Smarties. Too sugary tasting for me.

Black coffee in the morning, green tea in the afternoon if I need it. Previous posters are dead on about breakfast, too: I usually keep Cliff bars in my desk at work in case I wake up late, always have something. I also keep a bags of raisins and plain almonds at my desk, they really help out in the middle of the afternoon.

About a year ago, I was a coffee addict. I started having problems peeing alot from it so I stopped. Granola bar and a banana before work/school (along with a full glass of water) does it for me.

Coffee in the morning with a little creamer. Nothing fancy, Maxwell House mostly.

Coffee before a workout. Not too much though.

                      Eat healthy.

Oh, and I never really drank coffee or any type of caffeine until I had kids. LOL

                        Dunkin Donuts Coffee FTW.

If I'm up early and tired coffee is usually a must for me.

I drink french press coffee. Not really for energy per se, just because I like coffee. It makes me jittery if I don't eat much beforehand, but normally I eat a granola bar, some fruit, yogurt, etc. for 'breakfast' (eating off and on for ~3 hours randomly at work) and that helps a bit. I'd actually drink decaf if it didn't taste different... not a fan of being jittery at all, but I like the taste of regular coffee too much.

I am so addictive to large ices, it really has been ridiculous.

I feel like i need one every mourning and and it cost me money. Every time i drink i get awful jitters that make me feel terrible.

And sometimes the coffee is not that good, and sometimes it really great.
