Need some suggestions on where to go on vacation this year....
Me and my girl try to go to at least one professional sporting event every year (we normally end up going to more than one). I'm trying to figure out where we should go this year. So far we have only been to see the Wizards and the Bobcats. Keep in mind that I live in Newport News, VA and we normally drive so I would like for the trip to be 8 hours or less. Any suggestions on where we should go this year (and it doesn't matter what sport it is)?
Thanks in advance guys.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

What type of sporting events do y'all like watching together? Washington, DC for the all time classic football game between the likely 1-5 Maryland Turtles and the 0-5 UVA Horse-Faller-Offers
Then the next day, you can follow it up with watching Kansas City and Washington play out to a scoreless tieComment

Well gamecock, its normally basketball and football but she's even watched some hockey with me. I think she just enjoys the feeling of being there. We both seem to enjoy the atmosphere first and then worry about the actual game second. Oh, I know I said professional, but she loves college bball also.SimWorld NBA 2K19 Fictional Draft Classes

If you can get tickets to a Duke/UNC college hoops game at either school you would be in for a real treat.Comment

I honestly would think about Pittsburgh. It's a great sports town, and you might get lucky and be able to catch the Steelers and Pen's in town together. The city is an awful lot of fun, even without being sports related. I have been there 4 times now to watch the Cubs play, and my Wife and I love it there.
One of our favorite city's in America!
Here ya go..only 7 hours away

Re: Need some suggestions on where to go on vacation this year....
Dude don't limit yourself. Do you have an airport around you?? If so, you can usually get a flight with Southwest (as long as it's between major cities) for $99 or less if you book it in advance.Me and my girl try to go to at least one professional sporting event every year (we normally end up going to more than one). I'm trying to figure out where we should go this year. So far we have only been to see the Wizards and the Bobcats. Any suggestions on where we should go this year (and it doesn't matter what sport it is)?
Thanks in advance guys.
I'm going to the LSU/Bama game in Tuscaloosa this year and what would be 6-7 hour drive is a 1 hour flight (flying into B-Ham). I've made 3-4 personal trips over the past 6 months by doing this. 2 to Birmingham, AL and 2 to Nashville. We're considering going to Orlando sometime in October to do the whole Sea World/ Disney World thing or maybe a cruise, we haven't decided yet. Like I said November we're going to the game and in December to my parents house in North Alabama.
I guess what I'm saying is the possibilities are endless so look at all of them before limiting yourself. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague
