Re: A little rant...
I don't play online that much. In fact, I have yet to play any Madden online this year. However, I did play four games of NCAA while I was waiting on rosters. Of those four games, only one was a true Sim Player.
The rest went for it every time on forth down, no matter what the distance, attempted onside kicks, when for two, etc. The last person ever quit in the 1st quarter after I was up by 7 and got an INT.
But, like you said in you OP, it was my fault for playing against people I didn't know at least, that was what I was expecting so, it really didn't bother me that much. Especially since I won the games :wink:My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: A little rant...
It's actually common sense Stew.
People are either too lazy to go on here and ask for a simulation game or the people on here are typically not online or they are playing other OS'ers. When you are sitting there on Xbox Live all you do is wanna play....Then you click "quick play" then you get cheesers then people come on here and complain.
Even some simulation players exploit the game without knowing it...And if you lose...You will be the first one to be like "Oh hes cheesing"
Nobody likes losing especially if they feel cheated. 10% max are actually OS'ers so it's hard to find a game all the time...Because people have lives.Comment

Re: A little rant...
Maybe for you Stew but for guys like me who love basketball and live in countries where basketball barely rates a mention let alone challenging for the title of most popular sport randoms are pretty much all i have. Because of the distances associated i have a hard time getting a lag free game against US peeps and even then it's hard to tee up a game because of the different time zones. Not many of my local friends even care about basketball let alone would buy 2k10/live 10 so randoms are unfortunatley my only option.Quit posting how you hate playing "cheesers". You make that choice. Nobody forces you to hop online and play some random person who doesn't play the game the way you want. This complaint is the most overused on the site, and rarely will anybody do anything about it but complain.
I don't see why people complaining about "cheese" is such a big deal anyway. The developers should be striving to created a fair and balanced game and not have to have the players restict themselves and limit how they play (like you have to do in your "sim" leagues). In games like basketball the bottom line is that games should be balanced to a point where the player who has a better understanding of real basketball and how to win should win the majority of the time and the person who turbo passes downcourt for dunks on 3 people each time simply shouldn't be able to and should lose as a result.
I realise these are videogames and will never be perfect but if people just accept the status quo in this regard i doubt they will improve the way most of us OS heads wish they would. With all that all being i do agree that some people go overboard with the complaining but that could be said about heaps of things not just "cheesers".Comment

Re: A little rant...
if a game can be exploited, it's not cheating. It's perfect strategy. It's as simple as that. Personally, I don't like playing with guys who can exploit a game like that, and it's largely because I'm basically just not that good enough to hang with them. It's not fun when you get yer *** kicked, and the only reason the "cheesing" opponent learned the exploit is because he probably spends countless hours playing the game, whereas I play not that much at all, so I take stewaat's advice and stick to playing the regulars I know, so I can guarantee myself a good experience playing online.
If they are the "cheesers" who suck and just play unsim... you can't tell me that that isn't fun in a hilarious sort of way. Beating someone else's brains in, so that they quit just a few minutes into the game makes me LMAO.SAN ANTONIO SPURSComment
