When I was in 8th grade (serious **** right here) there was a girl I really liked and apparently she liked me too. Litterally the girl was dropping anvil sized hints all yearand i just didn't do anything. then during the summer I was all like "wait a minute, the hell did I do?" I texted her, she never responded, and I was like "damn".

College story. I met this girl and was talking to her over the phone for a while during summer school. She was about 90 minutes away. One night while talking, I was like you should come up sometime. She says, how about right now? And I say, yeah right.

Fast forward about 2 hrs. I get a knock on the door at 2AM. All we did was talked and cuddled all night. I never made a move.

So we eventually end up becoming best friends. A few years later, I brought up that night and if I was too much of a gentleman. Her words "It was nice, but a girl doesn't drive almost 2 hours in the middle of the night just to hang out". She still rags on me about that.

Needless to say, that has never happened again. Lesson learned.

Always nice to re-live one of my biggest failures as a man. Though, reading so many other stories tends to soften the blow.

Also, I just edited a grammatical mistake I made three years ago. I believe that is a personal record.

When I was in college, the girl I sat next to in one of my classes had an uncle who had recently opened a coffee shop that she worked at. One day toward the end of the semester when we were talking she said I should stop by and see her at work sometime. My idiot response was to tell her that I don't drink coffee.
