Actually we had ESPNU for a while before they bumped ESPN Classic to another tier. I don't get why they don't have ESPNU-HD, for me the games on that channel are unwatchable in SD as the picture is actually worse for me than most other SD channels.

Blame Comcrap for that, that's why you don't want them getting NBCU.

I'm over DTV, unfortunately they got me for another year...stupid two year contract.

Their prices are great for their 12 month intro period, but then it's rape after that.

I have their top package right below the premium package (the one with HBO, SHO, etc.). I have three boxes-one is a HD DVR, the other two are basic and I pay $95 a month. I get no premium channels what-so-ever, but their fee's add up fast.

$65.99 - Choice Extra package with DVR
          $10.00 - HD
          $5.00 x 3 - Two receivers
          $5+ - Tax

          $95.00+ for pretty basic cable.

If I want HD for some other rooms, I still have to buy the box, which is $99 or $199 (with DVR).

exactly. Im sure dish network is the same as well though.
Anyone know if I can swap out a regular box for an HD box and only pay $30 for the HD box??
I have a regular box, but got a new hd tv, and want an HD box for it.

Word is right now with DTV if you call and threaten to leave (especially because of Versus) they will throw all sorts of deals your way. My wife gave me the option of getting a PS3 and dropping DTV, I readily chose the PS3.
